I ordered my first saber on etsy too. Consular champion edition with an amber blade. I got my shipping email on November 14th..but others on this thread got theirs later and already showing usps as in transit. Mine still says label created. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't. Once in the build queue it can take 15-20 business days for it to actually ship out. At least that was the last estimate I had read.

I was thinking that's probably why. I got it in weathered option and asked for crimson sabercore. Makes sense. What's weird is, the google app on my phone tells me expected delivery on Dec 12th...where did it get this information? I'll try not to worry too much. I know SF is swamped and I'm sure they are doing the best they can.

If by the google app, you're referring to the ETSY app, ETSY auto generates ship estimates and dates for every seller. It's based on some information the seller inputs in their account, but in reality it means nothing....

I have items I have purchased from various people on etsy that show as still waiting to ship that I already have, and some that say shipped and "past due" that are not even done yet, and I am not including sabers from SF...

Basically ETSY's "shipping status" system sucks...

Once SF marks an item as "shipped" that means your order is now in the hands of one of their saber siths.... err... smiths.. ya that's what I meant ;)

From there it takes anywhere between 5-20 days depending on
1) Parts they physically have in shop vs parts they have to order/wait for them to arrive
2) How complex your saber is to build

If you asked for "An elegant weapon from a more civilized age", you can expect it to be a while :)

For what it's worth there is a way to tell when it's gone from the 'Shipped' status on Etsy where it's entered the build queue to where it's actually been Shipped.

When it goes into the build queue and the status initially gets updated to 'Shipped' it will say 'On ' where the date reflects when the label was printed.

When it actually gets set for pickup by USPS that date will update again and that will indicate that it's on its way out the door. This will generally happen in advance of any updates you will see in the USPS tracking.

Again, this is just my observation based on my experience with Saberforge on Etsy but it should be applicable for all. I was happy to see that my Hero Tier Vengeance that I ordered back on October 9th just flipped to where it's on its way out the door as of yesterday if that helps with anyone else's timeframe.
I've got a very bad feeling about this...

Hi all,

I don't know if this helps, but I'm in the UK and awaiting my first Saber. To make sure I know what the situation is I went to the USPS Tracking page and have been following this. The screenshot shows what info I get. Note the red highlight on the right hand side for email alerts, well I clicked there and requested that I get updates sent direct to my Gmail account. I have included a screenshot of my email showing one of the updates. My saber is currently passing through San Fran Intl and is In Transit! YAY!

USPS Tracking,

Gmail email update,

This has kept me up to date and I hope it helps you guys too,

Nice. Congrats. Starting to think what others have said is true...if you get weathered...it takes a bit longer to ship out. Mine has been at preshipment since Nov 12 according to usps.

You're welcome DarthPanda86,

Having a saber weathered means it has to go through another manufacturing process and (small queue) so may impact on times, BUT it will get to you and you'll love the product you get!

(The tracking info does refer to USPS when they physically take it from Saberforge this is known as ACCEPTANCE on the list)

On a different note there may be something waiting for you in the "Something New" thread containing Memes and stuff!
Just to lighten the mood while you wait, and good luck.

Kind regards

I'm sure that the weathering takes slightly longer due to the additional crafting process but when I got my sons Fury they initially sent me the unweathered version by accident. I sent it back to have that fixed and they turned it around in literally 2 days so I don't think it's a huge delay in the normal manufacturing process either.

I'm sure in your case the put a rush on it, as any good company should when the error is on their part, IMO.
