IN HONOR OF THE BIRTH OF OUR GRANDMASTER'S CHILD: ARES ISHERWOOD

I got the idea to make this thread from a member showing off his daughter (I'm assuming it's his daughter, I don't judge) with his Saberforge saber, she looked great wielding and posing for the camera. I know there are plenty of members with their own Younglings, training them to be Jedi Masters or Sith Lords (you never know)
Our younglings (sith apprentices) could use the spotlight once in a while! So basically, if you've got a young one who loves Star Wars as much as you, post them with your Saberforge saber! This will be great for the forum, since it can show that ligthsabers can be enjoyed by everybody in the family!

It can be your son/daughter, nephew/niece, little cousin or younger sibling!

OPTIONS: You can dress them up in costume/cosplay if you want! Make up a story for them, like how did you find out they are force sensitive, how do you train them, what class of Jedi/Sith are they? Make it fun!

This is not a competition guys/gals, just showing off the new generation of Star Wars fans playing and training!

Some basic rules and common sense of course: constructive criticism is allowed if asked for, but be careful, the last thing we need is to be insulting each other's kids; not cool and not friendly. THAT IS ALL

Here's my little bro using my custom Phoenix. He's convinced that it is a real lightsaber, I just told him that I turned it down to stun so it won't "cut" him. He's definitely a Jedi Guardian. He practices with his own lightsaber spinning and flourishes. He loves watching The Clone Wars show, but his favorite movie is Episode 1, , I've got to do something about that. He's very strong in the force, but has anger issues. He has total control over his fear.

Sorry if it's upside down, I couldn't figure out how to make upright.

Probably because Anakin is his age and Jar Jar. Kids loooooove Jar Jar.

No kidding, he thinks he's dumb but in a funny kinda way. He REALLY likes Ep1 because of Darth Maul, and that scene when he takes out the double-blade, MAAAAN that gets him every time. Anakin was 9 in TPM, my lil'bro is five. But he likes to pretend he's Anakin piloting the pod racer when we're driving in my car.

I took my little guy to see Episode one when it first came out. He was 5, and had already seen the original trilogy, so he had a little bit of a hard time with the concept that this took place BEFORE the ones he had already seen, but he loved it anyway. I remember when the Darth Maul death scene was approaching, I was poised to cover his eyes from the death stroke, and it happened so fast that he saw it. Fortunately, they did not really show much other than the subtle blood mist, so it was not traumatic for him. But, I will never forget what he said when he saw Maul falling down the shaft and separating into two pieces.

"Daddy! He broke!"

He is 20 now, but whenever we watch that movie together, we both remember that moment. One of those things we will have for the rest of our lives.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Too cute. The expression on his face is classic. Pure joy there. :)

Wow, that costume is spot on. She looks awesome, where did you get the goggles? My bro is dressing in a full Darth Vader outfit, and a one of the smaller versions of the FX sabers (Vader's of course). Yes they grow up fast.

Haha, lol! Yeah my bro figured out he got cut in half pretty quick, and he was so excited that Obi-wan did that to him for killing Qui-gon. He loves the episodes in the TCW show where Darth Maul and his brother appear!

He's learning the days of the week in school already and he is already counting down till the new movie. I keep reminding him that he's going on Friday and not to the midnight premiere with me because it's too late for him at midnight.

I was thinking of sending my bro's FX saber to Shameem to get it converted into a duel-worthy saber with 6w LEDs, y'know I don't think he'll mind, it IS a step up from the toy he has. Either that or get him a warrior tier apprentice saber like the acolyte. What do you guys think?

Hi greyjediDude,

I don't know how big your youngling is but I believe the Consular is the shortest/smallest hilt and hasn't got the worry about the sharp emitter points, having windows.Maybe a bit safer but still a Saber?

He's five but he's very big for his age, (I say big in the healthy way) I was thinking of either the consular or the acolyte. You can see him in the first page of this thread. Anyone else have younglings swinging SF sabers?

Hi again,

I'd probably let him keep hold of his FX for the moment, allowing you to save up to buy him either the Acolyte or the Consular (giving yourself time to decide also). This way your youngling will still have a Saber over the TFA period, then you can surprise him with the new SF Saber (which will be an upgrade as well). When he's good enough to cut his Padawan braid maybe then consider something more exotic!

I was thinking of doing that, especially since I don't want him to be saberless for the movie. He'll be very upset. On another note, does anybody know where I can find padawan braids? The ol'woman won't let him grow out his hair, nor would I want him to.

Hi greyjediDude,

Glad the advice seemed wise (I like this forum, I'm beginning to sound like a real Jedi Master, or is it just my age showing?)

I just did a quick Google search for padawan braid extensions and this came up on Amazon, though other retailers are available,

Hope this is of help also,

For Tyeth

p.s. I don't think it'll be too difficult to find something suitable.

Thanks for that Tyeth. Yeah that's what I was trying to get at with this thread, to see if we have any masters in the forum; see if they would share their experiences so far with their younglings. Its taking awhile for it to get it fired up, or maybe there's not many members with kids. I guess they're the traditional old fashion Jedi?

Lol, just playing!

I do have kids.

They're still equipped with their flagellum that is ... :p

When I do have kids though, I'll make sure to raise them as Jedi younglings ;)

I guess the average member is a bit young to have kids on this forum, either that or too nerd to get a companion :woohoo:
