I don't have children of my own, I'm 18 but my youngling is my little bro who is five. I love this kid to death, and he is obsessed with Star Wars. I put in the beginning that it could be your son/daughter, nephew/niece/, younger cousin or sibling because I FIGURED that not everyone got as lucky as Phil. Hey why not grandkids? I bet there's some senior jedi somewhere in the the forum, I don't judge.
I also think it takes awhile for members who want to post their kids because they're trying to get them in costume, there are some REALLY hardcore fans out there.

Lol my "Younglings" are 18 and 16, so a bit older than some of those shown here so far.

Are they Star Wars fans too? Saber enthusiasts? How did they get into Star Wars?

Mine are 17 and 20. The older one has his own SW cosplay outfit, and owns 2 Champion level sabers. The younger one does not wear his fandom on his sleeve, so to speak, but he plays SWTOR more intensely, and better than I do...so yeah. I raised a couple of Star Wars kids. They are both accompanying me to the early showing tomorrow night at 7:30 too!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Well let me put it this way, our showing is at 7:10 tomorrow. I figured on getting to the theater around 1 PM but my oldest is pulling for earlier--and that may happen as people are already camped out there.

Also my youngest was born the day after Episode I, we wanted a Star Wars name but not something common like Anakin, or Han since we knew there could be a ton of those that year. So we went with Jerec, after Darth Jerec of Star War Jedi Knight. No really into Sith but it was the one Star Wars name we could agree on. So yeah ---born, bred, and raised on Star Wars and all things geeky for that matter.

They have looked at sabers and I am sure soon after mine arrive they may be making orders.

@Hellrazoromega: I wish my girlfriend was into Star Wars just as much as your spouse is ... :(
There's no way I can get her to name a kid after a Star Wars character.

Maybe Jade would work, but that's it ...

My wife comes from a long line of geeks. You have never seen a more shocked pair of teenagers as when my boys walked into my 60+ year old mother-in-law's study a couple of years back and she was sitting at her computer playing Skyrim. They walked back into the living room with their jaws on the floor---"Grandma's playing Skyrim," was all the could say for the next 15 minutes. :cheer:

Yeah ...

I had my "mother in law" come visit last June and she was, strangely enough, much more understanding than her daughter.
Girlfriend: "Ugh ... He's playing... AGAIN!"
Mother: "He's worked all day, let him play a bit."

Well it probably does help that she and I can't talk very much since I don't speak Mandarin yet and she doesn't speak either English nor French ;)

Anyhow, my kids will be raised as beautiful little geeks, with Star Wars being the prominent geeky universe they'll be taught about, followed by LotR :woohoo:

Sorry if it's too late for this guys. Check this out, about two months ago one of my little cousins decided to get into Star Wars through me.He lives down my street, he's 11 and I have decided to take him as my apprentice, "TOO OLD" MY ASS, we all know how the old Jedi council would feel about this lol. Whatever Mace Windu, he's progressed a lot, he's binged watched all the movies. He borrowed my Jedi Path book, and I took him with me for the TFA premiere, which he loved! He decided to fall to the dark side just for the special occassion and dressed up as Kylo Ren:

He's trying to get an Arbiter V2 in frost white as his first saber. Then he wants me to show him the lightsaber forms. I think he's taking this really seriously, oh well we were all kids once right?

greyjediDude,

Here is a pic of my boys, turning 5 and 3 this summer, playing with my old fx sabers last week. I brought these out right after I placed my first order with SF. My boys seemed pretty excited and you could say their Jedi training has begun. Not sure how long I'll let them hold my new SF sabers once they come in, mainly because I'll want to be using them!
