Canned air is a good friend of mine. I also do airbrushing on minis for other games I play and I have occasionally taken my airbrush with a bit of clean water to some of the more grimy pieces then blast them dry. With the move my airbrush station is only a few feet away so that will likely become the primary cleaning tool for those figures. The bigger problem is actually the glass surface since the wood its on is dark it quickly becomes easy to see the dust buildup on it which is one of the reasons I like keeping this a living display so I don't have to worry about putting them back exactly as they were after a good wipe down of the glass.

Before anyone asks so far I have been to chicken to reprint any of those x-wing figures as their paint jobs are decently detailed and I have more pressing blank models to paint.

This is how I display my two hilts right now. I'm not crazy about either of the stands currently offered by SF and don't have the money right now to get any of the nicer, more expensive stands from other places so I decided to make my own little stand.
I made it out of black foam board which cost me about €1 and even though it's nothing fancy, it holds my Guardian and Reborn proudly and I think it's awesome :)

Own:
- 12W Green Champion Guardian
- Reborn DT

Want:
- Avenger
- Exhalted
- Gladius
- Mauler Staff
- Relic
- Sorcerer Staff
- Vengeance

I like the broom handle wall mount idea. Maybe I'll have a stand as well for just a hilt/no blade.

  • Remember, [Force] abilities are not inherently good or evil; it's how you use them.

I like it! Simple yet elegant.

I love how we are more invested and thoughtful about how we display and store our sabers than actual Star Wars characters are. There's an episode of the Clone Wars where it shows that Dooku unceremoniously has his tossed on his nightstand.

I bet if Dooku wasn't able to wield it from a distance into his hand using the force he'd likely have a similar stand to that we all use to display the hilt. I, unfortunately, am force deficient. :(

For those that care to wonder (I previewed my display setup in another Post under Other Sabers Gallery), but I suspect and now fear with the inflammation that is Saber Fever it won't stop here.

Hi Ouin,

You'll be fine as long as you don't brush your teeth with your Lightsaber!

Here's a thought. I wonder if I could fashion a little 4 inch blade with bristles and actually use it as a Toothbrush!? I've seen Lightsaber chopsticks, windscreen wipers, umbrellas...I wonder if any genius has crafted a Lightsaber Toothbrush yet. That'll be great incentive to get children to brush their teeth more regularly!

Hi Ouin,

Like this, I think you're a bit late.

Nice while it lasted though.
