Well would you look at that, I finally remembered I still had videos and reviews to get done

So as is standard with SaberForge sabers and I, this hilt was instantly surprising to me, although for perhaps the opposite reason to most of the others, in that it was actually bigger than I expected, and certainly the biggest overall saber I own (not sure if it is the longest, I still have yet to measure that up)

It almost dwarfs even the 32" blades due to a combination of how big the hilt itself is, as well as a rather deep blade socket, and although I have no 37" blade to compare it with, I cannot imagine this saber being easy to wield with any length blade, and certainly works better as a display piece. The crossguard element certainly makes a cool looking hilt, but does get in the way rather a lot, although it is perhaps down to my lack of experience using one.

I tend to think of SaberForges weathering style to be far too uniform, personally preferring something looking more like a "dirty" or "used" look, although on this and a few other hilts it does in fact work in its advantage, adding a real "machined for the dark side" look.

As for the Spark Color 2 soundboard, I still have had no time to mess around with its full functionality, however even the base addition of multiple soundfonts is absolutely great. I can certainly see that being great when I add in some non default fonts. It also adds the staggered ignition, which is a minor extra, but it adds a lot to the impact of the saber upon ignition. The red LED is the same as ever, looking brilliant, but works so beautifully in this saber especially, as I noted with my Bastion it works well with emitter windows, and is no different here, suiting both the emitter windows and the overall evil-looking profile of the hilt.

Then it is just a matter of the Relic, or Templar. I like them both, each for their aesthetic strong points, but I agree with you about their practicality for much beyond beloved shelf-queen.

No but seriously, if I had to choose one for display it would probably be the Relic. A very impressive and imposing profile. Not to discount how amazing my Templar is of course, something I will cover in the review when I get round to uploading the vid and typing everything up.
