Recently got a sabercore soundboard kit, and installed it in a new project. I press the power button and it says saver core viridian, the Led flashes and makes startup sound, then shuts off. Similar thing happens if I try to access the menu. It was a self wired setup so I can't send it back for warranty. Anyone have this happen before or have any idea what's going on?

Do you have a recharge port? What is your setup?

What normally happens with a SF hilt from the main site/Etsy that comes with sound is when the kill key is removed, the boot up voice is heard "Sabercore Viridian", the AV switch is also lit and then you may press the AV switch for LED.

For ASP Plug & Play without recharge port, when you insert the battery into the battery holder (mounted with soundboard), then the boot up voice is heard immediately. You may then press the AV switch.

It is the asp non recharge port setup. It makes the startup sound not only when the battery is inserted, but also when pressing the activation switch.

I don't know based on what you wrote. Sounds like a wiring issue.

Oh I hope that's all, should be an easy fix. As long as it's not the board itself! Thanks for the input.

Take pictures of your wiring and upload them for better input.

My guess is a switch wired on the power line instead of to the switch contacts.

My thoughts as well. But if this were the case, wouldn't the soundboard remain silent when the battery is put in? Unless it's a latching switch that's latched on when the battery is inserted or if it's a normally closed momentary switch.

Feel like a bit of a moron but I discovered the problem. Apparently a single fiber from one of the braided wires was touching from the battery negative to another solder point. So small I didn't see it until now, but enough of a current to short out the saber.
