Hello, So hanks to facebook I found SF and Im really liking what I see and want to purchase a saber or two, but I do have questions so that I don't mess up when ordering and get the wrong saber.

I want a Gladius Warrior Edition, Id like to get it in the really dark blackish colouring, So is that weathered or grey weathered? (I think weathered but I want to be sure)

Black wrapping I feel would look best on the dark handle.

So I feel like red or blood orange for colours but its hard to find a good comparison of the 2 that shows up well on video. so what would people recommend?

Finally I think im on going to get 6w not 12w. I don't know much about them but If they're is more light then wont it fade the colour? (mostly near the base) Is 12w worth it?

And a side question the pictures of the Gladius with the black handle and black wrap, what colour would you say the blade is in that picture? http://www.saberforge.com/images/stories/virtuemart/product/55.jpg

The photos of the weathered Gladius when you select Warrior tier look blood orange to me, but it could just be the camera. It's not super easy to tell the difference in photos.

The blackish coloring is weathered but you can request it in black if you don't want the grayish marks on it.

I think if you're going for Sith, you can't go wrong with red, I suppose.

I am a believer in the 12W. 6W look nice but if you're dropping $150 on a saber, I just think why not drop $180 and make it a super bright saber.

Yeah, the li-ion battery is also great to have. Absolutely.

Maybe I will get 12W

Do the sabers come with that knob that covers the recharge hole?

A warrior won't have a recharge hole because warriors don't have in-hilt recharge. You have to take the battery out and put it into the Li-Ion charger that comes with the hilt. Champions and Heroes have in-hilt recharge and they come with that knob (called a kill key or kill plug usually)

But like Griffon pointed out, the Warrior will only come with the rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 if you buy the 12W upgrade. Otherwise it will come with a battery holder for 3 AAA batteries (Batteries not included)

Just to reiterate what Miraluka said-

Basically the 30 dollar upgrade will pay itself of after a few battery recharges. If you go out and buy 3 rechargeable AA batteries and the charger your looking close to 30 bucks anyways, why not get a brighter saber with one battery that is rechargeable.

Hi. Suggest getting the dark weathering which is black. You should be able to request heavy or sparser weathering but can't ask for how much taken off and where specifically on the hilt. The grey weathering used to be called "arena". The dark cherry red wrap would look great and very Sithy.

You would be pleased with either the red or blood orange color. I have 6 and 12w sabers. My Gladius 6w Warrior is fine but in retrospect, would have paid the extra $30 for the brighter blade color and Li-Ion battery. The blade color should stay truer with that set up till the battery power instantly runs out and turns off. Only downside is that at present you have to wait for the saber to recharge with the Li-Ion unless you can purchase the correct extra battery elsewhere. Easy to replace the 3 AAA batteries and I promote getting rechargeable ones. The color of blade could change as these batteries drain.

Since I have multiple sabers I can easily use a different one and not have to wait for my saber to recharge the Li-Ion. If you are at all thinking of a future upgrading of this saber, then get the Li-Ion setup now. Hope my and the other member's posts will help with your decision.
