My love for a saberstaff originates with Darth Maul..No idea why but i just absolutely loved his scenes in the movie and from then on saberstaffs where my go to choice

Same here! But then I saw Satele Shan's moves in Star Wars The Old Republic Cinematics and it finished me off! I'm dying to get a staff now haha! |

Shame he only used his staff for one scene lol. It was an awesome scene regardless.

I've been considering a leather wrapped Venom saberstaff but I had not considered doing a standard finish with weathered claws. Now that I have, I hope you go with a different option so that I am not copying you when I do it!

As I said I'm going with a Sorcerer with a long staff coupler! I'm happy if I'm the one who gave you this idea! In fact, this idea was based on the sorcerer itself! But now that it's coming out, I don't need to try to ''replicate'' one anymore! It's all yours mate! (But if you do buy that concept, you need to show me pictures!) |

Just a quick feedback to tell everyone that I finally decided to do like mystbyte! I just bought 2 Champion Cyan Acolytes with Standard finish and a weathered coupler! I'm gonna add leather grips on both by myself! I ordered on Etsy, so I should have it before the end of the month! I'll make sur to post a new review about the Acolyte as a staff
Why? The Sorcerer won't come out before the end of April, and I'm tired of waiting! I want my staff, and I think I made a nice move! A Warrior Sorcerer staff = A Champion Acolyte Staff, in term of price! |

Acolyte staffs seem to be popular, that's what I purchased as well (less than a full week ago and both just updated on etsy to show shipping soon!)
Though I went with red 12Ws on both, and a weathered finish. |

What color wrap are you thinking about? It's a straight black leather wrap! I did one on my first acolyte, the red one I got for my Revan's costume! I can post pictures of it if you want! I always wanted a Cyan Dual wield! Taking a cyan saberstaff was a logical decision to me: i get the dual wield I ever dreamed of, AND a saberstaff! I also asked for quick disconnects, so I can turn it red/green/maybe other colors if I want! There's some colors I would like to try, without buying more sabers! |

Thanks mate! Those were my biggest concerns about buying a staff! Creating it using elite sabers was gonna cost me a lot, and I was gonna be restrained to a warrior tier staff! For the same price (15 canadian dollars difference), I get a champion staff made of apprentice sabers! This is gonna be epic! Doing orbits with the sound on = awesome!!! As for the timing, I wish I had discovered Etsy sooner! This is my first time trying it! Since everyone here seems to agree on the fact that it is a time saving option, I said "why not?" |

I will get another saber, but I think I'm going to go the same route. Get another apprentice saber, have two sabers. Maybe even make a staff out of them. Do you know when they will be releasing more apprentice saber designs??? I thought I heard 1 was to drop soon. ETSY all the way, I don't have the patience to wait 8-10 weeks.

Oh I'll definitely have some pics and a video of my staff once it all gets here lol. I went pretty much all out on it, got the two hilts in champion, crimson soundboard, weathered coupler, and both 37 and 32in blades to give them even more versatility. I am ridiculously excited for them, and they just changed to shipped status today! So. Hopefully, they'll be here soooon. Lol. Them and my gladius. My jade fire should be here today!

I just got my Acolyte in the mail the other day [review incoming when I get the battery fully charged; can't stop playing with it!!] and being my first saber, I am highly impressed with the quality of construction, the BALANCE of both hilt, blade, and the two combined and the sheer beauty of the design aesthetics. I got a 12W Blue Warrior edition. I have 2 champion sabers on their way from the site's store, this was from Etsy to hold me over til they arrive! Everything about it makes me happy.
It's sleek, slim, beautiful. It truly does spin flawlessly; as a rookie saber spinner I can do some really awesome tricks with this thing. Getting another in the future to try staff-stuff is definitely something I could see; the hilt seems suited perfectly for such a purpose. tl;dr The Acolyte is Awesome. |

I think the bastion will be the one I get if I decide on a staff. Black with red/blood orange blades. It will look like a Nazgul's mace!
