I am a potential buyer, but for now I have only opened an account to pose some brief questions in one post.

1. About how long till ASP Customs open back up?
2. I understand that it's about $80 / hour of working on Customs sabers. About what is your estimate of how much each total custom ASP saber will be? (Skeleton Version) Per part? Will they be more than what was on indiegogo?
3. Will it be possible to take apart a previously bought custom ASP saber and further customize it with bought individual parts or personally crafted parts?
4. Can the homepage be updated to avoid confusion on whether ASP Sabers are still available to purchase?
5. Are the apprentice, elite, and crystal sabers going to start being made up of the ASP parts?

Thank you for reading and possibly replying!

First off welcome to the forums. Make sure to post in the new members section to say hi and check out the FAQ post as it will answer a lot of questions right away and some more you might not of known to ask.

As for your specific questions:
1. ASP is a new type of line saber forge has created and will be opening up as a normal part of business hopefully early this year. They are still working on fulfilling the Kickstarter rewards and then the indigogo preorders before I expect they will open the doors officially on this new product line.

2. The customs shop is separate from the ASP product line but I imagine you could use ASP parts as you base saber for the customs shop at some point. For any Saberforge Customs questions please direct them at the customs shop email address as only Justin and his customs team can give you a real answer if that's the path you wish to take.

3. Yes anything that is ASP compatible will work. They have already promised expansions to add more parts to mix and match later on.

4. ASP sabers have only been available through the original Kickstarter and then the Indigogo preorders. Both of them are now closed. So any new customers will have to wait for the official release whenever that is (hopefully it will be early this year.)

5. Their other saber lines will stay the same as they have many parts that cannot be made ASP compatible. Stuff like long shrouds, single piece or cast multi-part bodies.

Hope this helps and if I got anything wrong I'm sure others will quickly correct me.

Thank you for answering my questions! It clears up a confusion I had between the customs shop and ASP sabers.

It leads me to back to question two though, which I was unable to adequately ask.

For the ASP sabers, will the total pricing be based off of each part chosen (thus allowing to buy individual ASP parts)? Or will they come in groupings like the way they were sold on indiegogo?

And for each ASP saber, about how closely do you think the prices will relate to the ones on indiegogo?

Thanks again!

I believe I read a general( and assumed) breakdown of part prices as such: each saber has four parts: emitter, switch, body, and pommel. That of course is without any electronics at all. Now you can leave off the blade as without electronics it feels pointless. Taking the $150 prices from the KS campaign as the guide you can divide it by the four main parts which gives about $37.5 per part.

Taking into account variables and the fact that with all SF sabers you get a blade plug, it's probably safe to put a $30-40 price point per part. Certain parts such as the thin neck emitters or clawed emitters may end up being a bit more but we don't know at this point.
