TOPIC: Custom RGB Monarch

Revan is back ladies, and I'm signing my return with something big!!!

I'm very surprised there is no review for the Monarch yet. After all, this saber has been around a while. Well, I'm somehow honored to be the very first one to do it. Note that is no regular Monarch.

This saber first came in as an initiate tier weathered Monarch I purchased on Etsy last June. I had big plans for it. I knew what I wanted. The fun part about this build is: I sent it to someone who had much more imagination than I did. Well, let's start with the first step in the process: The weathering.

I sent the saber to DarthMario/Shameem for it to receive a Shattered Weathering. I knew Shameem was good at this kind of thing and I had exchanged a few emails through this forum with him. It took him around two weeks to complete the job, which is incredible considering the amount of work he had to do. The finish was amazing, a beautifuly made shattered weathering signed Shameem.

Next step: The installs! I sent the saber to Wayne Austin of Derby City Sabers to have the work done, being too noob to do it myself. I wanted the saber to be as bright as possible, to be RGB, to have an in hilt recharge system, a Rice port and the best speaker out there. Long story short, I wanted THE BEST SABER. We went with this:

Board: Prizm
LED: Tri-Cree XPE2
Speaker: Can't remember, something noisy as fuck.
In hilt recharge
RICE Port
2x Tactile Switches

The goal was to make a chassis reveal. By unscrewing the lower half of the saber, I would reveal the installs, as well as the Ports. But Wayne didn't stopped there. He wanted my Monarch to be unique, and for it to look more like "the real thing". See, he's a huge Starkiller fan, and he wanted to add some details to the saber to bring it closer to Starkiller's saber in The Force Unleashed. I told him: Do what you must my friend. It took him around 2 Months to complete the work. Was it worth it? Hell yeah it was! Pictures incoming:

Wayne did a killer job out of the saber. It now has 10 colors I can cycle through with the press of a button. 6 different soundfonts, Flash On clash, Blaster deviation effect and Lock On effect. This saber is astonishing. It is now the masterpiece of my collection. My baby, my precious.

Now, I must review Saberforge's work on the Monarch.

Pros:
- Beautiful saber with a lot of details on it
- Amazing and real Quartz Crystal
- Nice weathering, but...
- I love how you unscrew a giant screw to remove/insert the blade plug/the blade instead of having to use an allen key

Cons:
- The saber isn't fully weathered, only one half ot it, which I think is a shame. I think the lower part should be slightly weathered as well. But hey, that's my opinion!

I had the unique pleasure of seeing this saber going through all of the development that Revan talks about via pics posted in another forum. I think now, the same as I thought back, which is - This saber is pure awesome!

A well finished Monarch that is truly sensational. Credit to you for ownership of a magnificent Hilt and credit to you with commissioning valuable talent to craft such a beauty.

Beautiful saber, Revan! A serious masterpiece.

It proudly stands at the top of my stand, waiting for my other sabers to arrive/come back.

I think Revan needs this to complete the ensemble.

While I'm not keen on TFU, that is truly a glorious saber. Well worth your wait! Your imagination has paid off!

My imagination never went that far. I only wanted an RGB Shattered Monarch. Wayne took my idea and carried on with it, adding some of his own ideas. I mean, I couldn't be happier, He did a lot of things I never asked him to, all for free! This guy is awesome, just has the saber he built!

That's a bad-ass Monarch. Looks like it's seen some major action!

Monarch has always been in my top 3 favorite
hilt designs. This is definitely one of the best custom Monarchs I've every seen. Brilliant.!.!.!

That saber rocks!! The weathering.....is just killer. The Monarch is on my wish list as I want in the Hero tier. Makes me want to buy it and have some weathering done on it as well. Thanks for sharing.
