Hi Ryusui,

I know this thread is bit old, but I'm a first-time SF buyer, and am seriously considering purchasing a leather-wrapped Venom just like the one in this video. When you got this saber, did you have to order it as a Venom or as a Descent? (and was it priced as a Venom hilt?) How did you make the custom requests following the basic specifications?

BrobiWanKenobi Offline New Member Posts: 3	I'm not sure yet. I've been told that the Etsy site has faster shipping times, but I didn't see a Champion edition Venom saber anywhere on the site. Maybe you're able to change/request these specs upon purchase or something? Which would you use?

Well planned custom blade and something to be proud of.

Just an FYI for those interested (from a bladesmith): Balance is mentioned early in this review. Ideal blade balance is usually 2-3" up the blade past the hilt, not in the middle of the hilt itself. This may differ a bit in these sabers as a light saber blade is much lighter than even a thin swords. If the blade is too heavy (the balance is too far down the blade) it makes it difficult to keep the tip of the sword up. If the balance is too far to the handle (the hilt is too heavy) it makes it harder to quickly drop the tip when needed and makes the blade heavier than required also leading to fatigue. From the action scenes in this review it does not appear to be a factor in this design. Again, a very nice saber!
