My first SF saber that I ordered about two weeks ago on Etsy, The Mauler Staff. :woohoo:

The wait begins!

Mine
- Champion
- Crimson
- Red
- 12W+
- 37" blades

I don't intend to duel, more for the cool factor, coupled and de-coupled. Will post when I receive it.

SF was very helpful and friendly with questions about the Staff and my order.

Awesome, I am waiting on my first SF saber as well. How did you go about getting the 12W+ upgrade on your saber?

Thanks!

Congratz! Did you order the Mauler Staff too?

You can read the FAQ thread and it discusses how to upgrade to 12W+.

https://saberforgeforum.com/forum/welcome/1305-comprehensive-faq-and-more-please-read-first

Basically, I emailed SF (via Etsy communication for me because I ordered via Etsy) that I wanted to upgrade. The cost of the upgrade currently is $25 per saber (Mauler Staff cost $50 because it is two sabers). SF then sends you an email advising you to pay via PayPal with their details. After you have paid, you reply to SF with your PayPal transaction ID and then SF acknowledges it on your order. It's easy!

Thanks!

I actually ordered the Dissident from the Etsy store. At the time, being my first saber purchase I was a little ignorant of the additional options available. I sent them an email a few days ago asking to upgrade to the 12W+ and quick connects. Hopefully it isn't too late lol.

I got the Mauler staff!

2x Champion with 12w+ Red and 26" shoto blades making it roughly 6' fully assembled.

I plan on customizing the pommels my self and I inquired to Justin about a possible light modification.

I hope it works out!! *Rubs hands together*

@Execute66, Mate did you eventually receive the Mauler Staff or (from time of your original post time stamp) did it suffer as victim of the unfortunate Lost Order Chronicles?

Yes, I have The Mauler Staff for several weeks now. Shall do a review soon. If you look through the photos many of us posted in the recent giveaway prize thread (where members were asked to post themselves holding their favorite saber and explain why), you can see me holding my Mauler Staff next to .... the infamous pool.... :)

Why is the pool infanous and not just famous? Have you ever dropped a saber in it?

No, nothing like that. Actually, I don't know. It's just how it has been described. :cheer:

So the pool did nothing to earn its title? I'm a little upset about that hahaha!

God knows that if I were ever foolish enough try to spin a saber near any body of water, that saber would end up in said body of water.
I am chaos in order's guise.

You and me both my friend. I almost never dropped a saber, but I'm sure the stress would make me drop it hahaha!

 I recalled seeing it however couldn't confirm if it was yours or not. (vague memory) Searched for it after Posting and found it :P. Consistent to my absentmindedness, overlooked that I Thanked you for the images when you did Post in Giveaway. Doing the back-track simply wanted to know if the circumstances surrounding that acquisition was different to the hints dropped here in Reviews. Thank you for the reminder and with the correction.

Let me reference the Movie The Three Amigos and the meaning associated,
Lucky Day: Reading telegram: "Three Amigos, Hollywood, California. You are very great. 100,000 pesos. Come to Santa Poco put on show, stop. The In-famous El Guapo."
Dusty Bottoms: What does that mean, in-famous?
Ned Nederlander: Oh, Dusty. In-famous is when you're MORE than famous. This man El Guapo, he's not just famous, he's IN-famous.
Lucky Day: 100,000 pesos to perform with this El Guapo, who's probably the biggest actor to come out of Mexico!
Dusty Bottoms: Wow, in-famous? In-famous?

The Pool (from what can be seen in the Review Video's) is of a generous size. Great location choice IMO, as setting for LED demonstration. I imagine it to be an indoor Pool so acoustics together with the low lighting work well to highlight the blades brightness and sound resonance. Agreed, I'd feel nervous at best of times twirling a saber at risk of dropping it let alone by a body of water. I am however convinced E66 exercises discipline and control when demonstrating the final edit. (practice runs are likely conducted elsewhere) I'd bet with his array of different Hilts he'd have suitable experience with Hilt wielding with the differences from Silver Knight, Phoenix, Relic and Mauler Staff. There are others I'm sure.

E66, Thank you for the update and look forward to your future Reviews.

How heavy is that thing? Must be the equivalent of 2 sabers, just wondering if I could even swing it around and for how long.. hahah
