I'm not sure how doable it would be. The quick disconnect coupler would likely be less structurally sound than a standard coupler, and possibly could cause it to not be covered for full contact dueling, which would sort of defeat the purpose. However, I think it is likely that it could be made strong enough. |

Glad to hear I'm not the only LOTR fan on these boards. The Anduril design's pommel looks very interesting, as I'm not sure how sound would get out.

I could see a 1/4 to 3/4 turn quick disconnect type working. Maybe as a special pummel? Maybe as a separate coupler. Almost like what you can see used on tools and gauges just heavy duty to withstand impact.

As someone who has worked on NDA projects In the game industry I understand the need for design secrecy until release.
Just a thought to generate more buzz you could telegraph your new design releases with: coming next month a new design from one of (if not) the top duel ready saber design teams that will excite and impress... Inspired by a saber from the *** era. Coming this month to (Etsy, SF, or ASP) coming this week... Etc Then have a big it's arrived click here to view.... With some shots of the saber (or prototype) with some vids of it being flourished or used in a mock duel officially... Let's face it we all love that. User reviews are great but a official exhibition/showcase the pros of the saber session would go a long way before the first user review for those early sales and driving youtubers etc. to good or trusted reviewers. There is a crazy good community around these but as a newbie there is a ton of Internet nerd rage to sort through with littl official teasers/reviews out there until you know what your looking for. |

*Cosigned* The Count is my number 1! I am partial to curved Hilts and Form II: Makashi I was so excited with the original "Summer" release date and then they had to go and change it!! Well, I jumped on Etsy and bought up 5 other sabers!! Showed them!! Take that Saber Forge... wait.. what?

i been an lotr fan for a while + im the only guy in sweden who cosplay gollum in a group on cons im going to cosplay bard on an convention called närcon Vinter (narcon winter) back to sabers though i im saving my money for the count and anduril thats final |

I'm curious to see what the next saber to drop is going to be.
I hope it's the Renegade. ORRRR A huge release of both Legacy models along with the Vader and Vanguard! You'd figure some pre-film hype to go crazy on. Add build and ship time for clients and we can have them in hand for the films release? Sounds like a plan to me.
