Looks like the Mauler is finally available on Etsy... already 3 sold so far.
Now up to 7 sold. Vigilant moving a bit slower, only 2 so far.

I actually really like the Vigilant. I sent a request to the Customs shop to see if they can work out a certain color scheme for me. If they can then I'll jump on it. If not, I think I'm going to play it like the stock market - between the Vigilant, Lotus and Mauler. Wait to see how they sell and buy once the inventory gets low!
I also want to wait to see if any different finishes become available for the Mauler. I know that Phillip said he was going to wait to offer other finishes based on these initial sales, but you never know... this is a business of supply and demand!

Heh, I sent a message yesterday too but accidently called it the Resilient because autocorrect+sleep deprivation. I sent pics so I think Justin will be able to connect the dots.
I also want to wait to see if any different finishes become available for the Mauler.
Like weathered? I'm happy they went with the canon/straight aluminum look. After seeing NeBosa's Phoenix I've decided I'm not a fan of the powdered anodizing.

I'm pleased with the canon look as well but for me it isn't necessarily "special". While I love the character of Darth Maul, I don't feel like his staff, as is, is a need to have for me. I feel like it has been replicated fairly well across a few different platforms which lessens the immediate desire for a day 1 purchase. Now if SF says that this will be the one and only version... I guess I'll have to loosen the purse strings.

I guess the Mauler would be pretty fun to wield. Fight with it and suddenly surprise your opponent by separating the staff into two separate blades!

Though the Regal has been revised to an ASP offering, rather than a regular saber release. You can be assured that I have been watching that one closely, as I flagged it as my next saber as soon as I saw the first rendering of it! |
