There's no actual confirmation that it is happening soon. There are no official release dates for any saber so it's best for you to just hang out with other eager enthusiasts and try not to overspend on other hilts while waiting for the release of which ever saber you actually anticipate lol. When the saber is officially about to drop, you will hear it through the grapevine a couple of days before. |

Seeing as how Fall technically starts TOMORROW.... the period of time where it's ESTIMATED to arrive literally just begins. As there haven't been any teases or hints of it dropping soon... whoever thought it was going to be this week or next, I'm sorry to say is quite off. Generally once the release gets closer, SF will tease/communicate about it a little bit. As of yet, there hasn't been any further updates on the Protector, or any of the other upcoming designs...
Also, seeing as how they just released two more deigns shortly after the crossguards, shortly after... well, you get the point.... I think it's safe to say we have at least three-four weeks before we'll see another new release drop. |

I was actually in communication with Justin at SF a couple of days ago regarding the Protector as I too inquired about it as its really only a couple of new pieces that makes it different than the Redeemer so thought it perhaps may have been sooner release than later. His response to me was that even he had no clue when it would be released… if that gives you any indication. lol

Yes, I come out of the woodwork for any mention of the Regal. However, the Protector grabs my attention too because of my undying love for damn near any thin-neck design. I have not come across one that I just out and out did not like.
Since the Protector is an even MORE screen accurate version of Obi Wan's Episode III/IV saber, I am watching with great interest, for if I were ever to invest in a crystal reveal, that model would likely be the one. |

A crystal Protector would by quite the show piece! Until I received my Prodigal Son and my brother got his Redeemer I didn't know what I was in for with the true beauty of the thin neck design. After seeing your Exalted with a black grenade section, it turned the tide for me and I had to get one… so I ended up purchasing one of my own (in a 12w+ Purple however). So I have you to thank/curse for this wonderful expense.. lol And now to see how nice my brothers Redeemer is, I can envision the Exalted and anticipate it even more. So to conclude this topic of love for the thin neck design. 2 of my first 3 sabers are thin necks haha. Time to add some variety I think? |

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. Variety being the spice of life, and all. To that end, the Regal that I have lusted for, for so long is next on my list. Very likely, an ASP variant of the Reliant following that. Then, I will be ready to swing back around to a Protector.

Am I the only one who thinks that Anduril-inspired design would make a gorgeous crossguard saber?
Replace the fins with some side emitters, chrome that baby up... maybe even put some kind of inscription (in either Aurebesh or Quenya) running across the emitter T (since you really can't have runes up the blade like the "original"). *rubs chin and ponders* |

i would choose champion if it werent for fact that Dooku in the expanded universe was and used to be a jedi master Dooku had blue and red as saber colours but if i imagine his a rogue/dark jedi it be fun to have multible colours |

Not my most desired, The Insurgent is the one I get hard for… lol But a 12w+ Champ all the way for this one. It'll have to be a quick buy too because I have a feeling it's going to sell FAST. |

Does anyone know when they're going to release Pathfinder??
It's a variation of the Vigilant (same body but w/a Resilient emitter and new style of pommel) so I'd imagine it'll be available sooner or later as either a straight build or an ASP saber.I squeezed the trigger on a custom Vigilant. It's my first time using SF's custom shop so I'm excited to see what rolls out. Operating out of a stunning lack of imagination I asked for a straight build w/black accents, a bronze greeblie, and an indigo blade. Calling it in my head the action figure accurate Ki-Adi-Mundi hilt. Pic for reference: |
