Hey everybody, my name's Ryan and I recently started looking into getting a replica lightsaber and that search lead me here. The sabers SF offer seem a bit more expensive than what I was hoping for, that said it seems like it's well worth the money, hoping to be a proud owner of an SF Saber in the near future!

I'm James, and most everywhere I go by Akos Amun, or WhiteFalcon86, or Shinobi Jim, but here, it seemed appropriate to switch it up. I like ComicCon and the like where I get to dress up as Waldo or a pirate or sith or something fun, and I like computer games, and food, and collecting things.

I have been collecting things for my whole life, and lightsabers for about 3 years. I remember checking out SF but decided against it at the time due to a few stories of long wait times and spotty QC. Then I forgot about it for a long time, until a friend of mine voiced some interest in getting a saber and I started telling him places to look. I started with Ultrasabers, where my collection is from, and remembered about Saber Forge. Checking the store again and the videos online I realized that while Ultrasabers have gotten comfortable doing what they do, and I like what they do mostly, Saber Forge got busy. I am really wanting a few of these beauties.

I got married a year and a half ago, and we have a 7 month old daughter, we are both nerds and will be raising more to be like us. They will have a thorough education in nerd ideology. I will likely have to wait a little while to make a purchase because my gorgeous and nerdy wife doesn't really understand the need for more sabers when I have 8 already. But you guys know why. That and we are getting a house, those blasted things are expensive.

I'm excited to be here, and share the love of Sabering with all of you.

Hi folks

new to the forum and excited to discover this community dedicated to sabers! I'm going through the whole "dream come true" revelation that I'm sure we all went through the day we decided to see "what else is out there nowadays". Amazing, amazing tech and everything I'd ever imaged could be since I was a kid.

My little girl is getting into the movies now and really picked up on the idea of sparring. So we'll see where this takes us. I just ordered my first real saber from SF's Etsy store a couple days ago, a Sinister Prophecy in red / orange. I think when she sees Daddy's "real life" saber she's going to get really motivated to stick with it.

But if nothing else I'm looking forward to just having this thing with me wherever I go. Really, really excited and looking forward to delivery day. I'm glad I read up here about the Etsy store. The Celebration coupon is still in play so I picked up 10% off my first purchase too!

Other hobbies include r/c cars, planes, and multirotors, racing and working on cars, gaming, and simming (I have a home sim cockpit that I've been building on for years). Married, kid, cats. That's me in a nutshell!

Hi all. I am getting a Venom Hero second hand this weekend.

I come from a boffing back ground so am looking forward to dueling with something so cool.

Do duelists wear head gear when sparing with these?

Was also wondering it there is any such thing as a flat tip for a Saberforge blade. I always waned a squared off tip and thought something reflective might brighten the end of the blade a bit more.

I'm new to the whole custom saber thing. I have a handful of Master Replicas sabers, but have always wanted something that felt "mine", instead of a movie reproduction. I've poked around various sites over the years, but have never taken the plunge. In the last few weeks my interest has shot up again, so I decided to join up and get in on the custom saber fun!

But the level of safety you exercise when you're playing around is totally up to you.
