I'm about to send my Exhalted in for a 3rd RMA and have been told that because of my repeated problems they are going to make me a whole new saber all together! So I now have the option of changing my LED to whatever color I want.
I still plan to upgrade to a Spark 2 soundboard for the better motion sensitivity and a FoC. So now I'm trying to decide wether to get Cyan so that I will later be able to choose a green or blue main blade with a FoC of the opposite color? Or should I get a Mint Green and have the one Blue as my FoC and the remaining 3 die for a Green Main Blade?
Thanks ahead for the help and suggestions! MTFBWY!

Glad to hear they are going to make it all right for you! I have the Green / Blue / Cyan option and like it, but even though the Cyan color looks good, I tend not to use it. I always lean to the green or blue. I have not seen Mint green in person, but I bet that would look good.

I have this same problem in picking a color for a CR Prodigal Son...even though it would be cool to have RGBA or even g/b/cyan, I can't I seem to see that saber ever being anything other than green.

I guess ultimately, what color do you think of when you look at it? Can you see yourself wanting blue? Just trying to help you through the decision process. :-)

One thing about going with the 6w green/6w blue/12w cyan route is that you would also be able to either have a 12w blade color that still flickers/shimmers during clash/blaster block/lockup, or adjust it so one color group of dies is brighter than the other during these effects.

Basically it comes down to if you think you'll be switching colors a lot, or if you want a brighter main blade that still has more prominent FoC effects.

Since you are working with a thin neck, I'd vote for mint green. Having more dies on for the main blade will help with the inherent loss of brightness they have (the way LEDs work, 3 dies is not 33% brighter than 2, and 4 isn't 25% brighter than 3, but the difference is noticeable), and you'd have a dedicated color for clash effects.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Have green main blade with the blue flash on clash for one font, and a solid mint green that flickers during the effects on another.

Color choices ... lol

Here's what I think based my experience with SF colors,

- Both are bight
- When using a 37" V4 Infinity blade, Cyan looks closer to the blues. Some people who see my Cyan Phoenix with Infinity in real life thought it was a lighter blue. There isn't any/much hint of green.
- Mint Green definitely has more green, but it is not close to SF Green or SF Lime Green. It is an aqua color when using the V4 Infinity blade, a cool chilling color, not warm like SF Green or even SF Lime Green. I love it.

Execute66 I will have to agree with your comment on Cyan, it shows as light blue with no hint of green. Your video of the Mint Green illuminated Photon blade is a fantastic color!

I'd actually recommend a Green/DeepBlue (Arctic Blue) combo for a Spark 2, since it offers the wider range of color options on that board. All the blues/teals in between (Light Blue, Arctic Blue, Cyan, Mint Green) can be achieved with different mixes of the two.

That said, if you've no intention of using the DeepBlue LEDs on their own for a RoyalBlue main-blade, then any of the Green/LightBlue combos will offer a *slightly* brighter blade.

Well my saber is already on its way back to me from the last RMA! They received it Friday morning and already had the install manager gut my hilt and replace the electronics, even changed my LED to mint green (at my request) and shipped it out today(Saturday)!! Monday is going to be a long day at work! :woohoo:

Just got my saber back already! They definetly did me right after all of the RMA issues I had. It looks like they gave me a completely new saber with another blade, allen wrench, and charger too! They even upgraded my speaker to a premium bass speaker! Very impressed! The mint green is absolutely beautiful!! Will post videos after work!

Sexy! Third times a charm. It may be premature, but have you played with the new colour in your Green Day Blade yet?

EDIT:
Have a Mint Green 12 (not plus) on my Epoch and it's undeniably awesome. Kinda wanting to get a 12W+ next to it just to measure the differences on the wow-meter.

Loved my original Green LED but this Mint Green has grown on me fast! Can't wait to be able to mess with the colors when I get my Spark 2! Definitely going to have the Mint Green as one of my font colors!
