How do you guys consistently get the blade plug out? mine keeps getting stuck. Last time I was able to blow through the bottom to pop it out of place but this time it's proven to be more challenging. Any tips?

Edit: I should specify it's a Heretic and the retention screw is completely out.

When I get tight blade plugs (and we all get them) I sand them using a 7/8 drum for sanding inserted into plug and using a drill with sand paper sand it until it its smooth and slides out nice and easy.

Hmm, that's odd. Which plug is it? I'm guessing the emitter on the Heretic is fairly snug (most SF emitters are oversized). Options to get it out could vary depending which plug it is. Some of them you could grab with pliers or something, others may be a bit more tricky.

You could possibly fill the plug halfway with hot glue; after it hardens it would provide a bit of weight that should allow the plug to just fall out when you tip the saber over. That should prevent it from getting stuck in the first place.

I got it out with pliers. Unfortunately it kinda fucked up the design but at least now I can sand the plug itself to prevent this from happening again.

Haha so I got a blade plug stuck in my saber
Any suggestions on how to get it out, cuz I'm thinking vice grips and just yanking the sucker out

What kind of saber? If it's an Elite, just try to break the super glue holding the emitter on, then unscrew the emitter and push that sucker out from the back. (make sure you undo the LED retention screw first) That's my suggestion.

If it's an Apprentice or Shoto, yeah, just grab hold of it with something and yank that sucker out.

How far down is it, and is the saber installed? If it's the empty Phoenix you got from me, you could poke something up from the pommel end.

If the emitter has windows (or you fully remove the retention screw) you could poke a small Allen key in from the side and try to jimmy it out. I had to do that with my Bastion lol.

This is gonna be hard to describe, but basically it's stuck in a vigilant emitter, and i don't wanna break off the emitter because the switch is right under it kind of

Hmm... the only other thing I can think of then is trying to grab onto it with a pair of needle-nose pliers or something. What plug is it? I've found VERY few manage to be even slightly snug in SF emitters.

Regardless if blade plug is an Elite (with lip) or Apprentice/ASP/Lazerforge (without lip), backout blade retention setscrew completely and insert a paperclip into the hole using a pivoting lever action either with the assistance (or without depending on how stuck it is) of a vacuum cleaner.

Once plug is out, lightly sand the pivot points surface burr and repeat over the entire plug to prevent it getting stuck again next time.
