I've decided to make my own saber, and Saberforge seens to have the best looking, most durable hilts around. Right now I'm leaning towards the Acolyte. Is this a good choice or are there easier hilts to get into and install stuff, and that have more room inside? Does anybody have suggestions?

SF hilts have slight smaller inner diameters than one from the Custom Saber Shop (where most people buy their DIY saber parts), but their Apprentice hilts (like the acolyte) are much smaller, making them a bit more difficult to fit stuff in. A lot of people have bought acolytes lately, so maybe one of them can give you some exact measurements.
If you just want an empty hilt, I'd see if you could get one off of etsy, so you only have to wait a week or two instead of 8 to 10, although the only hilts with that option are the new preorder ones.

I would not recommend apprentice hilts for your first DIY project. Those hilts are 2 pieces: the pommel and the rest of the hilt.

You'll be better off with a hilt that is more accessible. Also, I dunno what features you're looking to have but if you just want a stunt, it's probably going to cost you less to buy a warrior than to buy internals and install it yourself.

But yeah, apprentice sabers are very thin and not as easy to access. Just about anything will be easier to get into and have more room inside.

Yea apprentice hilts don't have much room on the inside! I would agree with Miraluka on getting a bigger hilt, or make your own with parts from TCSS!

OH MA GOD! That tool is amazing! I mean, I could create my own saber! I'm just not sure I'd be ok with doing all the electronics by myself and all but hey, that's amazing!

I'm saving that link! I might be the one asking 20000+ questions soon!

I really shouldve put what parts im using lol. I plan on putting in a Prizm sound module V3.5 and Luxeon tri-rebel RGB LED for 6 sound fonts and color mixing (so basically im making a hero tier saber)

That sounds very much do-able. If you want really nice color mixing I'd highly recommend using a color extender as well, but that'll require a bit more effort to get it to work. Also use a Royal Blue/Red/Green LED for color mixing to get the best results.
I'll definitley try that, thanks for the info!

Did you take pics of the process?
