UltraSabers also employs a lot of MHS compatible parts in their sabers.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Hi the $2500 tier option gives you 10 sabers but only 5 with sound, could you adapt that tier to give 10 sabers with sound without all the other bells and whistles? Or could you donate some extra to recieve 10 sabers with sound and lights? Thanks.
I fully agree with this request. Having half of the sabers not complete with sound feels uncomplete and out of balance. A $3000 plegde with all sabers having sound would do it for me.

Anyone want to take this up with Phil? Seems like a solid idea to me.

I already suggested it to him, but he just responded that the present $2500 plegde was already a very good deal. Well, no argue there, it definitely is, but it's not what I would want. It's a lot of money so I would like it to be perfect with 10 Champion soundboards. Unfortunately I didn't receive a message from him after that anymore.

I suggest everyone interested in 10 sabers with Champion soundboards message Phil about it on the kickstarter page. The more demand he receives, the more likely that he'll add the desired pledge.

I would be.... judicious about pushing too hard. The Champion ASP components will be available later.

A huge factor also is $. Retail for 5 champion/5 warrior is $3,200 plus all the extras ($300 in stands, $100 for belt clips, $150 for empty Bane, +prints, etc.) the full retail value of the $2,500 tier is $3750+. A purposed $3,000 pledge isn't economically feasible. $3,500 might work; $3,000 not so much.

Of course it has to be a fair price, $3000 was just an estimate. Here's my calculation in the line of the $2500 pledge.

The $2500 pledge consists of 5 times the $225 plegde and 5 times the $350 pledge. This would be 5 x $225 + 5 x $350 = $2875. So the (extra) discount for the $2500 pledge is. $375 / $2875 = 13%. When I use this (extra) discount for 10 times the $350 pledge I am calculating almost $3100. Of course there could be another reason why it should be higher, but that's up to Phil.

You're using the Kickstarter prices as your measure of value for the ASP parts but I'm using the actual retail price that they charge on Etsy and their website. You're also not taking into consideration the cost of the bonus items. I think your estimate of a 13% discount is a bit conservative. If we're using the retail prices of the components it's closer to a 30% discount off the retail price at the $2500 tier.

.... But all of our estimates should be taken with a bucket of salt because I'm sure we're both way off. There's so much we don't know about SF's actual costs.

I know, that's why I called it (extra) discount, meaning a discount on the discount already offered with the pledges. I think it's not weird or disproportional to calculate in the line of the other pledges. Anyway, it's up to Phil.

One update today about belt sizes. I think most FAQs have been asked by this point, we'll see if anything else gets clarified.

YES! There's a belt size that fits me! Half the Jedi utility belts on eBay don't seem to fit the typical skinny white boy waistline like mine.
