In the lead post of this topic, owner of this saber stated how and where this finish was obtained. MHMe is this finish anodized, or powder-coated?
Weathered Hilts are
(EDIT) black anodised before they get stripped on a lathe that result in the circular brushed pattern you commonly see.
To go Black (
totally agreed how awesome the result is. Can't stop thinking about it or referencing it. MHM has made an excellent choice, twice
) SF is essentially 'skipping' that last step leaving the finish completely black. The result is a matte or satin black result.
This can be done in Customs also (credit to
MommyHoldMe as this got him an advanced purchase before official release of Bastion) in addition to other advantages that can't be requested through 'normal' order processing.
I had a
discussion post exchange with
SithLordLim in another Thread recently and he remembered reading it, after searching, found
Shadow1275's Disciple Review, finished in all black with a Green LED. Scroll down towards the bottom of page 1
of this thread and
GreyJedi73 asks the question with how
Shadow1275 got this finish.
EDIT
For the record, MHM is right again with Kevin Conroy but IMO for the animated universe. As
MusicallyInspired voiced, Michael Keaton hand's-down for the Movie adaptations.
