I disagree. Why spend the time to anodize and powder coat, then remove the powdercoating. Wastes time and money. Besides I have a powder coated hilt and a standard weathered hilt. Its one or the other not both. Why anodize the hilt then bake on an electrified powdercoat.

You are correct. SF's weathered sabers are anodized black then stripped. Powder coating is only done by the customs shop.

OvrcAHst I check out your post about the other hilt. I found no description of this alleged process in the post. Your coment about an email inquiry is also vaque at best.
Please help me understand what type of work you were investigating to get a reply that stated anodized and powder coated. I feel we might just be beating a dead horse here on someone elses post. PM me if you wish. |

The main reason why I wanted the Bastion is black, besides the fact that I love all things in black is I am working on making a Nightwing/Jedi crossover cosplay. I wanted Escrima looking lightsabers. Now I have a very good reason to order a second one once SF Customs opens up again. In terms of the finish, I didn't want anything glossy at all. I just wanted a plain standard black finish. Each day I have a hard time NOT picking it up at least once.

Balance is wonderful, and I would strongly suggest a 32 inch blade. 37 does make the balance uneven.
