I bought my first SF Epoch about 5 years ago. At the time it had a blue LED and a sound board.
The saber has a cool design. Some of the edges are a little shard on both Epoch Sabers.
I changed the LED of the old Epoch to Red and I painted the body.
I will be buying the new Epoch when it comes out.

Is the second one a yellow or amber LED, and what wattage is it? It seems to be considerably brighter than the first saber. Just wanted to know for comparison. :)

The first Epoch has a 6w LED. I bought the LED right before SF came out with 12w.
The second Epoch has the 12w Amber LED

Hey, I'm new to collecting SaberForge sabers (I have my first one on the way at the moment (A 12W Mint Green Dissident from etsy) and I was wondering how you went about changing the LED color? I've bought a SaberForge V1 Epoch off of eBay and I'm not sure if I want to keep the color or not yet

I'm waiting for my first saber ass well. So I don't have first hand experience like a lot of guys on here, but this video gives a good demonstration in my opinion

You know, those horizontal windows were a feature I really loved about the Epoch, and they were there through two iterations of the saber. I gotta say, I am not really feeling the vertical ones on the newest version.

But, to each, his own.

Too true, I prefer the vertical windows. I just ordered a Ver.3 in dual tone w/a amber 12w. TY memorial days sale.

If it did, they would not be the same ones as they use now. They just recently switched all their connectors over to a new one. Smaller and more efficient.

Damn, that's a shame. I'd best get savvy with it all so I can upgrade it then haha. It'll have to wait a while anyway though till I've saved up a bit more, the shipping costs to the UK are a real nightmare

wow, that old epoch is friggan awesome..seriously. honestly i like all the versions i've seen of this so far, changes and all. Anyway thanks for sharing!!
without the quick connects it might be a pretty tricky process, unless you know what your doing i guess.
sucks for all the international saber brothers, shipping costs are a bitch!!

Yeah, My Dissident is coming from the US and I'm worried that's gonna charge a lot. Apparently they say it's worth $50 and is an LED Torch + Plastic Tube so fingers crossed it won't be too much. I'll post pics of it in the limited edition thread for it when I get it though :)
