It was mentioned in another Post specific to a Thin Neck that threaded parts or sealed sections not intended for opening are sealed with a
Lock-tight adhesive to obviously discourage curious critters playing disassembly games.
I imagine something similar would be used along the Bane seam also. I recall a comment indicating gradual waves of heat disperse from a hair-dryer can 'deactivate' the glue. Additionally, with future installs in mind and intended, I'd say requesting no glue to joins upon ordering will be accommodated. An email to Sales Customer Service will yield more accuracy.
