TOPIC: Wait Begins! 3.0

Hello Everyone and thanks again for having me!

I am the most inpatient person who has ever existed I firmly believe lol,,, one thing that helps me is to stop thinking about it terms of weeks but to consider the amount of days..

12 weeks is roughly 84 days... that's nothing and to be honest I kind of enjoy the wait as it makes it seem so much more epic and special. I think the wait is part of the brands identity in some ways and that's kind of a good thing.. its a commitment and a test of character to own one of these babies lol.

just my two cents on the wait, but I may be just trying to make myself feel better... who knows...

I think the wait and impatience is okay. But when people get antagonistic about it I take issue. Could SF get a bit better about corporate communications, setting expectations and such? Yes. But they are doing what they can with an exploding business.

I have wired plenty of electronics and it TAKES time. I have done plenty of metal work and it TAKES TIME.

It is not uncommon for any hand crafted item to take 12 weeks. Nearly every custom sword I have had made took 8-12 weeks to make (and that was after sitting on the wait list for the artisan for a year+). As a hobbyist metal craftsman I have spent as long as two years on a piece. So taking 12 weeks is fine by me IF the product on the other end is good. And for the most part it is.

I am a little concerned with the reports of malfunctions filed by new saber owners. That is a but distressing BUT it is rare out of all the sabers they are shipping, and their customer service seems to be taking every measure to make those rare cases right for the owner. This gives me reassurance that when I get my Exalted I will love it, and should there be a problem that SF will take care of it.

So do what you need to to make the wait manageable! I myself am accustomed to waiting for good things.

I agree that good things take time and are usually worth the wait...so far, my experience is the wait has been worth it.

I just had an experience with Saberforge's return department that is worth mentioning. They reached out to me just a couple of days after my saber was delivered and I was having a back and forth conversation with them over e-mail. Extremely attentive and courteous. They really put me at ease. It was so good I felt like it needed to be mentioned here. I was afraid it would be a month before I would ever see my saber again. I heard back less than a week without even having to send a single e-mail. Color me very impressed.

Custom piece are always gonna take time. But the anticipation make the wait all the more sweet. I anticipate the first swing of me saber when it comes in. Man i can't wait. But i have subscription boxes that help me make it through the wait. I won't mention them here but one has to do with this particular theme. So all i can say it enjoy them when you get them. And everyone have a great may 4TH.

I ordered mine the same day, as did my roommate, 3 hours after me. I'm still I'm pre shipment too, but he received his several days ago. Both champions, neither thin neck. I emailed asking if something went terribly wrong and I just got a cut and pasted "current wait time is... Please allow 5-10 business days for..." So, I wish I had answers for you. But, people are getting them that ordered the same day but I was given no insight at to the process or complications, if any. Just gotta be patient. My kid and I will just have to give it another week or two to start smacking each other with expensive toys.

Also, I think I messed up quoting whom I was responding. Just enjoy being part of the journey with you guys and offering the little info I get.

I have completed week 10 of the Trial of Patience, so I am anticipating it's completion in 4 to 6 weeks.
(Completion occurring with delivery.)

I ordered my Hero tier Gladius on Feb 18.

No update yet. Still stuck in preshipment for a week. Hopefully next week it ships. I'll just wait here...

On another note- If anyone has a spare MHS Blade Holder/Emitter they can part with...am willing to pay. :\ Have one gift saber done (Lotus) but too long for the 10y.o. Didn't like that holder with the body, but it worked well after the choke. Need some blade holder for the 10yo's. /headdesk

I would like to ask if you could reduce the size of your Kylo Ren picture in your signature, as it extends past the screen limit size and as a result cuts off the menu buttons to reply to post etc in the bottom right hand corner of the message window. Thanks!

starting the 15th week

- Ordered January 24th
- Pre-Shipment April 21st

So almost 2 weeks now in pre-shipment... can't be much longer now

In total the lead time has been 3 and a half months and still no saber haha

Got my "shipped" email about a week ago now. My excitement is beginning to show.

I just got notice that my Juggernaut ordered on 2/7 from Etsy will be delayed 2-3 weeks. I know have 3 sabers ordered from 1/8 - 2/7 that have been delayed. I'm checking with customer service to see what might be out of stock. I'll post back when I find out more.
