I find that if you assume good intentions on their part to get you your saber as soon as their workload permits, it takes away one aspect of the anxiety we all feel. That being the nagging feeling that somehow, our order will be lost, or mishandled.
I am currently waiting on two orders, and other than the deep desire to have them both sooner than later, I am comfortable with the fact that they will make it to me as quickly as SF can get the out the door. I would rather that the wait time not be increased from where it currently stands, but if it does, then I will just continue coming here and talking about how friggin' awesome they will be when they do arrive, and planning the in-depth reviews for them, as is my way.
I love this idea and I think it should be restated for emphasis. I too have 3 sabers ordered in the first part of January and every one of them has been delayed due to parts shortages (that's week 17 for me). But this is where Brax's philosophy shines. Without realizing it, I have come here each night in hopes to see awesome sabers, learn more, to be reminded how awesome mine will be when I get them, and to congratulate others who have achieved victory in their trial of patience for their saber. Truth is, it is as much therapeutic for me as it is anything. No one can argue that the wait is not hard, a bit scary, and frustrating, especially to first time buyers. We all agree the wait should be shorter, because we're all excited and have a sizable investment in our sabers. When I was a first time buyer, I was really worried. Let me tell you, though, the wait was SO WORTH IT. And Saberforge took care of me.
I am not saying this to sound preachy, but instead because I consider myself to be new here as I just got my first saber a few weeks ago. I was and AM where you are. You are not alone. Let us choose to encourage each other and not fuel the frustration. I understand it is easy to do, but remaining optimistic benefits everyone. Just my two cents.
