TOPIC: Wait Begins! 3.0

So my original order was in October, but was part of a group that was lost. The wait has bee dark and full of terror...

Until this fittingly arrived today on May the 4th...

I get the sense that these CUSTOM, HANDMADE sabers are the first (or one of the first) such items the irritated folks have ordered.

I'm in (I think?) week 9. I ordered March 7.

I've stopped noticing. I will get it when I get it. I have ordered many a high-end custom item.

Average lead time on those? 6-12 months.
Average "build time on those 12 weeks AFTER the lead time.
Satisfaction in the final product? 100% (so far)

I think SaberForge is a mild example of a hand made and custom item.

Excitement is good. Wait-anxiety is the path to the dark side. Anxiety leads to anger. Anger leads to wait-hate. Wait-hate leads to suffering.



I am looking forward to my saber. Late May? Who knows. Mid June? Probably more likely. Late June? Maybe...

What is common in any of these timeframes? I will love my saber. Look. I already own a SF saber. They are COOL. They are worth the wait. Trust me.

So as I enter my 11th week, I just realized that I have yet to look at the sabers for sale section.


I mma see what goodies are possibly up for sale.

There are also a boatload of fresh brand new SF sabers on eBay. Since folks apparently endured the wait and then decided it was a poor decision to spend the money or ran into money troubles. I think a half a dozen mint sabers are on eBay as we speak. Warriors, champions etc.

Hi everyone,

Does any of you guys experience error when you try to track your USPS tracking number on their website recently? I have been trying to track mine since earlier this morning, but the USPS website keeps on saying "Please only enter up to 0 numbers separated by commas."

I believe I put my tracking number (there is only one number) just like the way I normally do and I usually have no problem...

i bought my saber 12th of april

which means i have to wait til july or something along those lines

First love the name and picture. You and Brax are right. I can't wait for my saber.I ordered 3/3. But i still can't wait. It is like being a kid on Christmas Eve. I am looking forward to the day i get home and that USPS box is there waiting. I will be my first but it won't be my last. I am so excited. I'd like to go ahead and inform everyone that my tracking number has quite literally just become active. Can't wait to see it start moving in the near future! I doubt it'll come as early as Monday but I hope not as I'll be in the hospital that day. Any time after would be the best.

That's all perfectly fine for me. I know they haven't even started on it yet. It'll take some time for recovery so this is perfect timing, I should be up and going 100% by the time it's on its way at least.

Well guys, I ordered a Redeemer today! Their email said 6-8 weeks, but I'm guessing that was just a standard form and I won't see anything of it until around mid-August or so. Which isn't too bad for me since it'll be a nice reward for what I'm guessing is going to be a very busy summer with research.

Oh preshipment email why do you tease us so. Im on week 2 now. No sign of movement on my tracking number either. Back to the bat cave i go. Its really dark in there. Sure which i had a nice light source. A lightsaber might do the trick.

OvrcAHst: you are 15 days in pre-shipment?!?.. nooooooo. At what point do you send in a nice polite friendly email saying "hello, wts" (wts == where's the saber)

schmots, Am not really bothered by it. Work and RL matters have kept me preoccupied, have since received 2 Customs and Posted Reviews, ASP Hilt creations and Something New too advances time forward seemingly quicker. It's Friday today and change in Tracking movement is unlikely. From what I've read and observed, pickups from SaberForge by USPS have typically taken place at the start of the week. If it doesn't happen come Tuesday (Monday in USA) it'll carry over to the following week. That particular order I raised is intended as a gift but also enabled me to gauge accuracy and experiences of lead times when ordering via Main Site. I've actually bookmarked it for follow-up May 17.
