Hi All!
Do you guys think that medium blue for the Avenger matches the blue color from Kenobi's saber from Episode one? I remember reading a post on the forum that discussed this: medium blue matched the prequels better while artic blue matched the original trilogy blue color but I can't seem to find it. Also does anybody have a pic a "full" blade illuminated with the medium blue color?

Thanks for the input guys

I forget which board it was, but someone once did a big 'ol scene-by-scene of all the Star Wars Blues, and the Prequel blue blades varied anywhere between Light Blue and Deep Blue depending on the scene. Medium Blue would likely be a good compromise.

I can't remember where on here it was, but I remember searching for Deep blue and some threads had broken out the movies by color.

DK44, you can't go wrong with Medium Blue or Deep Blue, for your next Avenger. ;)
The Post that sprang to mind was made by Knytiri over here.
If you try the key words "Prequel Blue" there'll be a heap of other Threads that discuss this.
As for the pictures, Master Dain references the Medium Blue on his Disciple at
'Display your Sabers Thread' but it isn't ignited and there wasn't a Review of it.
MommyHoldMe has an unforgettable Medium Blue on his all Black Bastion but no blade. NeBosa has pictures of Light, Medium & Deep Blues but full length blade isn't shown.
Hope it helps. B)

Depending on which scene you look at it looks like both Medium blue and Artic Blue. If I was you I would go for Artic blue my friend!

Clone Wars totally looks like Deep Blue to me, though.

Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith blue sabers are basically Deep Blue!

My Acolyte will here tomorrow but I won't get my hands on it until next week. I got it in 12W+ Medium Blue. I'll post a picture of it with the blade in so you all can see as soon as I get a chance. I'm pretty sure Medium is closest for Episode 1. Deep is probably closer for the other two like DR said.

I honestly think Light blue matches the blue sabers from Episode I

Medium blue matches the blues from Episode II

Dark blue matches the blues from Episode III

And of course artic blue is the blue from the original trilogy

Exactly! There's a "huge" variation in color between each movies in the prequels, which can be associated with the advancing technology in CGI and such effects.

On that fact, which one is your favorite guys? Mine is the Deep Blue (ROTS)!

I don't know, I have a Medium Blue, and I do think it's good for ESB too.

The blues also look slightly different within the same film due to the environment, as the effect used has a slight transparency in the glow. It's one of the reasons the Dooku fights take place indoors instead of outside in Geonosis, as the muddy orange color would wash out the red, why they decided to give Luke's ROTJ saber a green blade to stand out against the stark blue sky of Tatooine, and why Anakin and Obi-Wan's sabers look lighter on Mustafar than they did aboard the Invisible Hand at the beginning of the film.

You're right friend. I forgot that part, even though I was well aware of the reason why Luke had a Green saber in ROTJ. Facepalmed myself so hard!
