Guys, I know what to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it; will you help me?
I've always wanted an Exile in lime green because I love the character it's based off but when I bought one of the last ones on Etsy it was "misplaced" back in december with the entire USPS fiasco that damaged or stolen thousands of dollars of sabers from SF; I never received it. REALLY disappointed. But now it has finally been added as a permanent on the main site and now I can't decide! My favorite design by far is the Archon, and I knew I had to own one. I couldn't get one on Etsy because I didn't have to money at the time and they ran out. Then they were restocked but, literally, right as I was going to get one BOOM "shop has gone to vacation" F***********************************CK! SO CLOSE! But today I made a decision to finally get it from the main site since its also a permanent. So there is my dilemma, Archon 12w+ Amber, or Exile 12w+ lime green? Guys I know what you're gonna say, "whatever you like best" or "whichever you want the most". Well that's the problem, I love them equally. So I have come to you, the Forum. Choose for me, vote on it. Help your fellow dude. |

greyjediDude, I feel your anguish. I was in that same boat. My Descent was rebuilt and lost to who knows what or where.
If I could snap my fingers, I'd go through it again, to get my 'first love' if you like. The Exile will always call to you, even more so because it was so nearly in your grasp. Now's your chance to grab it once more. And when you have it, the Archon will still be there

On the flip side, you'll have the option of buying Exile ASP parts in another couple months while you wait for your Archon to be assembled.

YES, very true, my compadre. The Archon is WAY to complicated to be built on ASP so I can always wait till then to get the Exile, hmm.

Of the two, I prefer the Archon. I have one, but I do not have the Exile (I have something similar to the Exile by another company). The point is while I think the Exile is very nice, the Archon looks special. Very few other sabers I can remember remotely resembles the Archon.
I have a feeling one day you will eventually get both.

Order the Archon now while lead times are high. With any luck, Exile will become available through ASP or Etsy, and you might wind up with both around the same time.

Lucky. My mom would probably think I'm crazy with this saber hobby. We're also talking about a woman who has only just now come to realize that she has too much fabric. If she can fill half her sewing room with crates and tubs of the stuff, I can buy myself a couple good lightsabers. |

Hmmm, greyjediDude it sounds like you want the Archon more, lol. Plus I think Kouri's right--if you get the Archon now you could get the Exile through ASP later. You might have wanted the Exile first but it sounds like the Archon is calling to you now......

If you know you are definitely getting more sabers in the future, waiting until ASP launches for the Exile and getting an Archon now would be a good choice.
I myself like the Archon more, but at the moment grey weathering isn't an option on the main site like it was on Etsy, and that's how I'd want it. |

I guess Archon is going to be it. It will be an excellent graduation gift to myself since early June is when I expect it to arrive. Now which color? My indiegogo ASP saber is blood orange, so either Amber or indigo. Damn, still torn apart. By the force, can someone link me the best pic of what the indigo LED truly looks like? The archon deserves a strong Royal color like Amber or indigo.

It's fun to choose and think. I honestly think whichever one you buy first, you will be happy with it. If that's the Archon, then you know you will be happy with it and have an Exile to plan for later. There is nothing wrong with that at all. |

I think we do a pretty good job of banding together when the situation dictates.  Just so ya know, I did not cast a vote because I like them both equally, but I agree with your choice.

 Even veterans like me need some help deciding and figuring things out from time to time.Well guys, it's been done. ARCHON IS THE WINNER! Indigo 12w+ and I was told that the current lead time is 6-8 weeks. But I'm guessing that's gonna change with the giveaway that's going on right now, and I'm a realist not an optimist. You have to keep your hopes and a low level so you won't be freaking out about waiting. Hey, since I just bought something through the website, does that mean that I was automatically put in for the giveaway? Anyways, my NEXT saber to purchase is DEFINITELY going to be the Exile, for sure guys, I promise. I shall soon be with my love. One day, we will be together tis I swear upon to thee. |
