Hello guys,

I want to buy my first lightsaber. (Actually only the hilt)
My question is, are all hilts connected to some SW character?
I saw for example that there are hilts, that look similar to that of Obi Wan, Luke and so on.

I am looking to buy a hilt that is more of a sith style.
What hilts would you recommend?

Which of the hilts looks the most closest to the lightsaber of Darth Plagueis?
Here are two pics that show his lightsaber:

Camillus-

Welcome!

To your first question: While many sabers are inspired by lightsabers seen in Star Wars, there are several with no connection such as all of the Apprentice Sabers (maybe not the Disciple but I'm not sure) and hilts like the Katana, Epoch, Sinister Prophecy.

For a sith style hilt, my personal favorite is a dual tone silver decal/black body Bane with just a solid red blade. But truly, is a hilt catches your eye, one can make it a sith style lightsaber by opting for weathered and then a red, orange, yellow blade.

For a close replica of Plagueis, a pre-modeled SaberForge hilt would probably be the Sinister Prophecy or the Acolyte, but I know you can make something more accurate using SaberForge's ASP Builder

http://www.saberparts.com/#/configure

There was a previous thread of someone asking about Plagueis hilts as well, and a couple of members tried modeling it using ASP parts, and I feel it turned out quite well, however I can't find that post at the moment.

I know there are more experienced members here that could offer better advice (as I still own none of these sabers i listed above), but I hope this helped!

Best Wishes,

Omelas

Well, in terms of Sithy looking sabers, a lot of SF's sabers can look very Sithy when paired with a certain finish. Explore the mainsite to see which sabers suit your fancy!

As for Plagueis' saber, your best bet would be to construct your interpretation of his saber yourself on the ASP builder and then order it when ASP goes live. Otherwise I'd say the Acolyte, Fury and Venomous Fury might be worthwhile to check out!

Make sure to introduce yourself at the New Member Introduction Thread, and have fun!

Thank you for your replies!
I think I will go either with Fury or venomous fury.

Hi Everyone, Camillus,

I saw this thread the other day but was busy so couldn't reply straight away. However I like to mess around with the ASP builder and I came up with this design based on what I could see from the pictures that had been posted.

PLAGUEIS:

I have used a coupler as the pommel to get the vertical vents so you may need to use clips to hold the electronics in place, but it should be possible to make it work.
I also created a copy of Rey's staff in the "Themed Sabers" which was rumoured to be Plagueis' weapon (or at least parts of it). I called it Scavenger.
You can see it here Rey's Staff or you can see the two separate hilts on this page Rey's Twin Sabers.

kind regards,

For Tyeth
