These are two separate order processes, and they are being administrated as such. As I stated earlier in this thread, while I empathize with those who ordered just before Etsy returned, it is somewhat unrealistic to expect them to alter their process to accommodate every instance of unfortunate timing. They are giving you the option to cancel your main website order, and re-submit via Etsy, which will result in the time savings you wanted. Granted, it requires of you the time to take both actions, but if speed is your goal, it seems a worthy use of your time.
The bottom line is that new efforts and sales happen, and there are ALWAYS those who missed out due to a timing issue. However, in this case you have an option to retroactively get what you really want, and that is not always the case with these kinds of things. I don't see that this is really any kind of let down from customer service, as they are doing their best to help you, even though they cannot do exactly what you asked for. |

I understood why you posted it, more meant what you're hoping to get from SF. They're not going to pull an Etsy saber to make yours ahead of anyone else in line with that configuration.
Think of it this way. You want a new car. You go to the dealer, pick what you want, and they order it right from the factory because it's new new and there isn't any on-hand inventory. This happens all the time, ex: BRZ/FR-S. Meanwhile, in the 6 month wait, they receive some stock, and one just happens to match what you wanted. Your options would be the same, either keep waiting or cancel and purchase one of those. |

Okay so now I can order a day blade from Etsy. A brass covertech knob from the main sight. A 12+ LED from IGG. Finally a stand and blade plug from LaserForge. LOL how many sites do we need!

 Shipping cost from Esty PER BLADE looks far too expensive. I don't think the shipping cost have been correctly "calibrated" for blades. Any thoughts? |

$15. Shipping to East coast USA, yeah might be alittle high. Package size has alot to do with shipping cost though. Execute66 how do you feel it should be calibrated differently.?

I was comparing the shipping cost of one Champion Tier saber with a 37" blade, and (separately) the shipping cost of one Day Blade, and the difference in cost was small. Considering the one Champion Tier saber comes with 37" blade already, it just doesn't look very balanced.
Now, if you order for example, five new Day Blades only (no other items but just blades), the freight cost as a % of blade cost is very high. |

^ That's what I guessed about Etsy, thanks for posting.
The interesting thing therefore is this: if everyone from now on ordered from Etsy, and nobody ordered from the main site, then Etsy will no longer necessarily be a 3-5 day lead time. Etsy exists because the main production assembly line comes in the "optimum efficiency" minimum batches; the excess over actual main site orders are handed over to Etsy. |

Does anyone know if the Hero tier sabers also feature staggered ignition for the Crossguard sabers on Etsy like the main store?
Also if I choose the Hero Tier RGBA, what do I choose under the "blade color" drop down? |

Also, today is day 5 of pre-ship for Etsy....your move SF.. 
TMW you're waiting on TCSS to ship back your saber, and have 3 SF sabers in pre-ship... 
As for the holes in the plan, feel like that's been covered honestly. Bottom line is not our business, not our choice. Take advantage of the quick-ship while it's there. |

Well, in trying to figure out something else, I noticed that their website has updated the "lead time" to 8-12 weeks from their 10-12. So at least they're speeding that up a bit in some cases. However, with all of us being a bit upset, I have to say that there is a bit of a warning on their own site since they have indicated in their explanation of lead and shipping times that "will be offering quick ship options this summer". Which, when I read that back in March, I had assumed to mean their ASP line and not the return of the Etsy store.
I can't say anything as to what is going on with Etsy and what that means for orders placed on the website vs. being placed on Etsy. One question that I do have is if the sabers listed on Etsy could quite possibly be, in some cases, sabers assembled from ASP parts? |
