Looking into doing a horizontal wall mount for my Venom saber. I've looked at a couple other threads on suggestions, and for me, it boils down to Maglite brackets or Kayak clips.

Which would be better? Looking to avoid damage or duress on it (at least when it's not in my hands). If maglite, would C-cell or D-cell be better for a Venom (hilt diameter measures 5 inches, saber 3.5). Thanks in advance!

I saw on another forum that D Cell Maglite brackets work pretty well on standard 1.45-1.5" hilts, though you might need to add some washers between the wall and brackets to make room for the claws.
