TOPIC: Etsy Shipping Question

Hey,
I ordered off of Etsy 2 weeks ago and it was my first SF Etsy order as my previous order was from the site. Do they send you a shipping/tracking notification as they do foe their main site? I imagine mine should be hitting the build log soon if it's to arrive in the slated 3-4 week period. And man am I excited to get it. |

I'm a couple days shy of 3 weeks with no word from them on my own Etsy purchase yet. They have got to be super busy with their new sabers and ASP preparation, so patience will be your friend!

Hey i ordered my sabers from etsy on the 24th of may and a shipping docket was created on the 15th of june. They create the shipping docket when they start making your sabers so the 3-4 weeks is total construction time plus a week for delivery but ill say this you will get a little thrill when you see that "shipped" message

I'm a patient man my friend, I am looking forward to its arrival but I'm not spazzing in angst over it. I was only curious if their method was the same for Etsy as it is the webstore in communicating the creation of the shipping label and what-not, which I'm glad to see it is. This was my first Etsy order as I've already ordered/received one through their webstore.
What do you have on the way Hagman and HotelFourSix? |

I figure they'll start landing in hand in about 4 weeks... The Phoenix I've got queued up will probably head to the workbench towards the end of next week.

For my first saber, I went with an apprentice-level Disciple at the warrior-tier, customized with a weathered hilt, brown leather wrap, and green, 12w LED. Coincidentally, it's the exact same saber that Luno-Jay has reviewed here in the forum. For something with sound, I'm waiting until November to build my own.

Awesome choice man, if i do say so myself. if your anything like me your going to love the hilt. enjoy your saber when it comes man! someday maybe our twin sabers will duel. |

I ordered on Etsy during the holiday weekend sale. I got my e-mail monday that they would be working on it this week. So they are moving pretty quickly right now. Obviously it isn't shipped yet but that feels really dang fast to me.

Cool to hear a couple others also have a Phoenix on order.
That's what I have qued up as well. A champ 12w Red with quick disconnects. Also added in a light blue led. And I requested a white LED a/v switch. I plan on doing some mods to it afterwards as well. Really looking forward to it. Still waiting for that Gladius hey Hagman? Did you order that one thru Etsy or the SF site? I see quite a few people picking up apprentice sabers. Is it due to cost or aesthetics? Just curious. I really like the consular even had ideas about making a consular/acolyte staff. But I think I may just scoop the Mauler instead. |

My first saber was also a warrior. I ended up regretting it as it's just not the same without sound. You end up always just making your own sounds with your mouth lol. Rather lackluster. At first I wasn't huge on the Phoenix then about a month before it was released. Something just clicked and I was like.. Man, that thing is a beauty. Perhaps it's because it's a combination of design elements from obi-wans hilt and the graflex and what-not. So it's like if you were trained by both anakin and obi-wan then you built it as yours to honour them. Or it could be like a Return of the Jedi gone wrong. It's what luke could have built if he was turned to the dark side. To mimic his fathers and obi-wans design. I wanted a white a/v switch because I wanted it to light up but didn't want a definitive colour. And since I'm getting it in a red, I knew they'd install a red a/v switch. And I wouldn't want the red a/v switch when I have my light blue LED module installed… kinda OCD on my part haha. I also plan on getting an amber LED module for it too soon enough. |

My choice for an apprentice saber was a combination of cost, aesthetics, and wait time. You just can't go wrong starting at $49! The angled emitter shrouds are the only ones that really appeal to me personally, and there aren't many hilts with that feature. Plus, dropping a fortune on a piece of artwork like the Monarch, with a 14-week wait time no less, isn't super practical as a first saber, so a Disciple from Etsy was the way to go for me! I'll be foaming at the mouth if a Graflex-style emitter shroud like the Monarch or Anakin Skywalker's second lightsaber is available as an ASP component. On a related note, that Etsy order was just updated to "Shipping on June 25"! |
