Hello all, I recently purchased a 12w red warrior bane with weathered finish and it is now in transit on its way so there are a few questions I was curious about so I don't mess something up right out of the box

1. On a previous post about a bane i read that the blade retention screw is the screw on the left that is holding the front claw on. is this correct? I wanted to make sure i will be loosening the correct screw because i will not be able to control myself and will immediately want to put a blade in a start swinging it around once i get it out of the box.

2. On the retention screw topic, how tight or snug do i want to screw it in with the blade/blade plug in so that I won't have any worries about it flying out when being swung. I don't want to possibly damaging something up by screwing in the retention screw too much.

3. This is my first saber purchase and I haven't even received it yet, but I have already ordered a second saber. How the heck do you guys restrain/pace yourselves from just constantly buying more of these amazing looking sabers?

1 - Yep. Even if you loosen the other screw, nothing detrimental will happen. You'd be able to take the shroud off if you took both out... that's about it. :)

2 - Until it stops, then give it another half turn or so, so it's good and tight. Basic rule of thumb is, if you're not leaving a mark on your blade or blade plug with the retention screw, it's probably not tight enough.

3 - Who said we did....?

The first saber I bought from the SF website is still yet to ship (18 days now since the label was created :( ). In the interim I've purchased 7 sabers, I'm in possession of four of those (three are in the queue) and I will have four sabers coming outa the ASP Kickstarter. Retraint, what's that?

I really have no measure of restraint lol. I bought my first (Dissident 12W Mint Warrior) on the 28th of April, got it by early June but before that arrived I bought an '07 Epoch 6W Warrior from ebay because I was impatient and couldn't wait. Then I ended up buying a Fallen 12W Red Champion from ebay a couple of weeks later. Then a week after that I bought a pair of Consular warrior's 12W Cyan (which have now been upgraded to 12W+ and one upgraded to champion) with a coupler, which has a few weeks left on it. The only thing stopping me from buying more is the fact that I don't have the money to buy more lmfao. I think I'd like a pink Phoenix or a Indigo Jade Fire next

I'm weak *sob*

This ^

I've now purchased 3 without receiving my first yet... I believe each has roughly a 2 week gap between them - for no other reason than thinking that buying another one would help to ease the pain of waiting. ugh.

If there is any restraint on my part, it is just the timing of my purchases. So, what it boils down to is - When it will happen...not IF!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

I feel like I should add this to the FAQ quick glossary, because it's painfully accurate.

Quoting myself! >:D Indirectly I suppose. I'm glad I don't either :$ But yeah... "restraint". That said, it sure made week 2 fly by.
