Single hero edition vs double warrior edition 1 day 16 hours ago #26332

this will be my first time buying a saber of any kind and im wondering if i should get the acolyte hero edition with nothing else extra or go with 2 acolyte warrior editions with staff coupler and belt clips.
Im afraid if i go with the dual sabers ill regret the dual colors and sound in the long run, but i also like being able to let a friend borrow one saber and duel. please help, thanks |

I think it's nice to think of others- but these sabers aren't cheap- or even like a video game remote.
Id get a nice one for yourself. If your friends like them- they'll buy their own. Or they wouldn't have used your second one as much anyways. |

You'll get multiple sound fonts, multiple colors, blade flicker and flash on clash. I mean that's just the total package. I already sense from your post that you already feel the same way. Remember warrior editions are much less costly. You may have another chance to snag one down the road. But amassing the lump sum for a hero edition is a little harder. Obviously you have it now. I say treat yourself to the hero saber. Worry about your friends later on, or better yet convince them to buy one for themselves. |

The main reason id get 2 is so i can dual wield or use it as a staff. just an added extra of being able to have two is a friend can use one but thats not the main purpose

Blade flicker is available on champion tier sabers as well. Both the sabercore viridian and crimson sound boards have 5 levels of blade flicker. Level 1. Solid blade, no flicker Level 2. slow flicker Level 3. medium flicker Level 4. Fast flicker(my personal favorite) Level 5. Extremely fast flicker, nearly solid looking. Flash on clash and multiple colors only come on hero edition sabers. Changing colors involves holding the saber at a certain angle and quickly rotating the hilt to change colors. |

Personally i'd get smaller blades for dual wielding than for two solos. So you may want to think about that. |

also to clarify, i have a budget of about $400 so im wondering what the best value is. i also have a friend thats a genius that could install sound boards or create them for free or a couple dollars for me.

Basically whenever the saber registers a clash the blade will quickly flash a different color than what it normally is. The effect usually looks best when the flash color is vastly different from the main color. For instance a blue blade that flashes red will be much more noticeable than a purple blade that flashes indigo. |
