So it's been a while that the forge mentioned that they will be switching over to FedEx in 2016.
I wanna know whether this will be implemented with any orders that are not yet in the build queue atm or only with orders that comes in starting from 2016.

The only people who could confirm the target date for switching are the customer service reps. I'd imagine they'd switch over as soon as they've hammered out a contract with their new shipment provider. Since SF has opened up a criminal investigation with their local USPS branch I'd imagine USPS will be on their best behavior until the switch.

I'm sure if the usps is found in the wrong then a lot of people will have to insert foot in mouth about some of the trash talk.

Nah, this is the internet bro/bro-ette, here we have short tempers and even shorter attention spans. ;)

People will believe what they want to believe, if they think it's a bunch of mumbo jumbo, they'll remain saying that it's a bunch of bull. Probably saying it's fan boys trying to protect or whatever.
I hope they do find out what the problem is though cuz it definitely sucks to wait this whole time and find out their sabers are no where to be found...

you know, i thought this past holiday season wasn't bad with shipping. Even my non-saber orders from here came right on time for Christmas Eve.
The Force existed long before the Jedi and Sith united under the light and dark.
It will be here long after these empires crumble...

Hi tomwenz1993,

I ordered a Saber back on Nov.12th from the Etsy site and I received it on Dec.24th. I am in the UK and it took a week just to clear Customs! So I am afraid your target for delivery may be unlikely.

I'm not sure they have switched to FEDEX yet, but even then your order would have to go through a wait before being added to the build queue and there would be other orders in front of your purchase.

I think h2soy's post has more about the current situation with FEDEX etc.

That's ok, this is one of the good things about the forum, you pick up lots of information and advice from people who have gone through the process before!

Don't be too afraid to ask questions but a lot of answers are in the FAQ'S Page.

Kind regards

Is there a chance that with FedEx the main site will be able to take PayPal payments again you think?

Actually you should be afraid to ask questions of this type, remember?

Make sure to direct all new members to read the posts "Forum Rules" and "No More" sticked by Knytiri. Questions like this regarding shipping times and other customer service issues are not allowed anymore and are supposed to be directed to the staff via emails only. People weren't listening to the rules so now the ban hammer is likely to fall if you ask these kinds of things.

Actually the question was about hilts needing to be assembled and the person who asked didn't realise they were hand crafted the way they are!
I also said I didn't know the situation regarding deliveries then explained his order would need to wait and then built as per the queue.

And I did point them towards the FAQ'S page, as you will find I do in most of my New Member Welcome posts unless another member already has before me.

Kind regards

For Tyeth

(I just wanted to clarify thanks)

Oops, I didn't read the entire thread, but judging from the title I was afraid for the new guy!

Alot of new people are flooding in and its only natural that they are new to the whole situation here and don't understand that the company is totally overworked right now. I would hate to see someone get banned right off the bat just for asking a perfectly legitimate question but not realizing they aren't allowed to here on the forums. Just wanted to make sure every single new person reads those two stickies!

Anybody have an idea about how long it's been taking to get email responses back? I know it's a particularly busy time so I haven't wanted to keep resending. I made a purchase last week and placed a few emails about questions after that and have heard nothing back . Just trying to get an idea of how long it's taking them to respond right now with the crunch

Seriously, placing "a few emails about questions" just slows everything down (for yourself and everyone else). SF is not a call center. The most number of emails I have ever placed about a purchase is ONE email at a time after an email back from SF. Of course, the one email may have several well thought out questions.
