Hi everybody,

I'm really excited because I'm about 5 1/2 weeks into my wait time for my 12W Champion Prodigal Son. Now I'm getting very close in the 6-8 week lead time, but I'm wondering with all the new releases if they could somehow effect it. With ASP, the new apprentice line, and even new saber designs, I'm really hoping things like that won't effect the lead time. Any idea if it could?

Thanks guys

If you are that close I imagine next week sometime they will start the building. They did add on in terms of staff. I applaud you for not going crazy during the wait. It can be grueling at times.

That could've happened to you because of TFA rush. I'm hoping since I ordered mine after the holidays it'll be a bit quicker.

Not sure if the ASP affects any orders or not. I'm nearing the end of week 7 on the prodigal son i ordered and I haven't heard anything yet....

I dunno man, Filius's timeline is the latest and also matches up with another guy who ordered like a day after him or so. 9 weeks and then they got the build notice. Add another 2 weeks or less until they get their sabers hopefully.

Hope for 6-8 weeks. Expect 9 to build 11 to deliver. They're super busy right now, its understandable that they are going over the listed lead time. The ASP launch is a huge deal.

Faith. Unlikely lead time will be affected by this. Different departments focusing on different areas all working simultaneously to deliver respective builds. Lead times are an approximate. How precise the approximate is unfortunately cannot be defined. It could be +days/weeks or -days/weeks. There is priority by SF to meet the demands and granted there's a lot of expansions happening right now and whilst any changes will often yield minor teething problems, over the grand scheme and 'bigger picture' SF will come good. Updates aren't just pacifying statements. There is momentum with their improvements and transitionally, the metaphorical gentle jog turns to a run. You'll get your sought after pieces soon. :)

As OvrcAHst already said, I don't think the ASP rollout will affect the existing model orders or lead times any.

I seem to recall someone connected to SF (not sure if it was Joshua, Daniel, or Phil himself) mentioning in a Facebook comment the other day that ASP and standard orders aren't even being produced in the same building (standard orders are being made in SF's existing shop, ASPs will be handled at the new "factory", was the way I understood it.)

The wait is a killer, but trust me, it'll all be worth it when you light that baby off for the first time. Just stay strong a little while longer. :D

I have just received my notification on my order status changing to Shipped.
Ordered my saber on Dec 7th and it's Feb 7th today! Hopefully I'll receive it by the end of the month.

You most definitely will! I ordered mine December 30th which was about 5 1/2 weeks ago so I am expecting the status to change within the next few weeks.
