Are people required to do what they say? No. You can show interest by making a comment you wanna pick one up. So it makes sense to do it as a pre-release. 3 out of the 4 that came out in Feb are gonna be in the perm lineup. So thats cool!

If they do a limited release of the Templar and relic I think those two will be in actual danger of selling out within a few days.. look at pretty much their only competition on the market for it.. the "Flamberge" which looks like a glorified pvc pipe with a cross guard taped on... looks terrible imo. Templar and relic both dominate it and should do so market wise as well.

The bane and archon are two others I've seen a loooot of positive reaction to. The rest I see scattered reaction to. Sure people like them but I don't see a lot of people jumping up and down to buy the others.. some, yes. I don't mean to imply theyre disliked so please don't think that's what I mean XD

I have the Flamberge on preorder, but I'll probably sell it to get the Templar.

I know they recently came out with 2 but really its only 1. As now you have a grip or none grip wrap option. So I look at it as only having 3 to choose from in that category. On a side note; Really looking forward to the Insurgent and Renegade to name a couple.

I'm honestly hoping that the Sorcerer becomes a permanent addition to saberforge's line up! I'd like to pick that up as a staff, in blood orange for my grey jedi costume, as well as the bane in a crimson red for my sith lord costume.

Judging from all the responses on the message boards, as well as the posts on facebook, I'm expecting the bane pre-release to sell out quickly and hoping it will become a permanent hilt as well!

We'll see, I just need to get the money by the time they release them!

Yeah I'm not sure whether the Bane or any of these other "unique" style sabers will be permanent releases immediately or whether they will be pre-releases first. I can't imagine Phil wouldn't add the Bane at least to the permanent line up, there really isn't any competing curved saber design at that price range. Not unless you count the UltraSabers "bent" saber, that isn't truly a curved saber like the Bane. We'll have to see. It should be released early April

I've been a HUGE fan of the Redeemer, and I see a few differences between the two hilts just on visual inspection of the images. Does anyone know the primary differences between the two? I've certainly been hoping that Saberforge will come out with a thin-necked hilt than can have a quick disconnect or a removable activation box.

The main difference between the protector and the redeemer is the protect is meant to be a more accurate reproduction of Owi-wan's ROTS saber the control box section is more detailed to more accurately represent a Graflex clap which is what part Owi-wan's ROTS saber is based off for his activation box, which started with Obi-wan's saber and Vader saber from the original trilogy as their saber prop was built using a Graflex Flash gun.

The main difference between the two is that the redeemer is far more accurate to the revenge of the sith hilt around the neck and activation box. The detailing on the neck seen on the protector is not present in the revenge of the sith version of the hilt and the detailing on the activation box of the redeemer is nearly identical to the activation box seen in revenge of the sith. The name "protector" reflects Obi Wan's role in a new hope, and more closely resembles his lightsaber in that movie.

Just saw this on Facebook from Phil Update on the Bane curved saber, all parts are completed but the claws need to be remade, wrong thickness causing the blade holder to be too tight, eta another 3-4 weeks. Sorry guys.
