The wraps give those sabers a whole new look! I like the original configuration, but I could see me going this route at some point in the future.

Not true, I have one I ordered waaaay back in January, that I'm still waiting on. It'll prolly be a while yet, but technically the Viper was my FIRST saberforge hilt purchase. So. That counts as something!

Hi. David and I had the same Venom with purple blade till he sent back for the leather wrap. Kinda wish that he had left that one as originally built and added some O rings. These help make the grenade hilt more comfortable to use without gloves. The leather is nice and I am considering getting another in a dark weathered and black claws. Perhaps that dark red leather wrap to have both versions. So many choices.

Yeah the standard setup is nice, but I'm a huge sucker for leather wrappings.. I dont (currently) own a SF saber that isnt leather wrapped
A pair of red leather wrapped venoms would be awesome! I've been eyeing up that dark red leather for a potential katana in a few months time.. |

David... stop reading my mind as we are ordering the same sabers and blade colors.
What I'm really saying is something along the lines of great minds think alike. Definitely getting one of the Katana sabers with the red wrap this summer. Perhaps the middle length. Someone linked to Terra Prime said that he would be making a video with the set of three.

I ordered Descent and wating and waiting now. Your review made me excited and impatient to have it ASAP! Could I have a quesiton? How are Venom Claws fixed? Are there any kind of nuts in the hilt? |

The Venom has machined slots in the hilt that the claws fit into. Then there's a longer screw that goes through the claw at the widest point to affix it to the hilt. I'm 99% confident that there aren't any nuts, but I couldn't say for sure as I don't own one.
But my guess is that there aren't.

Hi. I recently removed the claws. No nuts but the bolts/screws can be SF shop secured on quite tightly prior to removing. The machined slots are narrow and the edges aren't harmfully sharp or in the way. Looks like part of the emitter design. The bonus is that there are now three additional small round windows for the LED to shine through. Claws can be replaced at any time but don't know if this would wear on the threading. Am wanting to change out with some black claws.
