Welcome Kheragryn!

Actually you're not just part of the ASP campaign you are now officially part of the SaberForgeforum family!

As you may know (as I suspect you have loitered around and watched us from the shadows, as it were!) the guys and gals around here are a great bunch of people and if you have questions they will surely help out if they can.

You may have read the FAQ's and Forum rules but I thought I'd mention them so you can get the best out of this fantastic site.
It is an exciting time for Saber and Star Wars fans, so it is a great time to join the forum.

I hope to see more of your posts in the future,

Kind regards

For Tyeth

Hello all. Late-30's dude here living in the East Bay Area. I've been collecting Master Replica / Hasbro lightsabers ever since their initial releases. I have every single one collected and packed away all nicely in their boxes in perfect condition. A couple of them that I really adore, I have a duplicate of just to keep them out. It's always been a strange thing to collect in the eyes of my girlfriends of past, but my current one has finally accepted it, gifting me my Kylo Ren saber this last Xmas. She's a keeper, particularly since we have a kid together (his name is Luke and I have no idea how I was able to get that name approved without raising red flags) and we're engaged.

I've always seen the custom lightsabers out there and knew it was getting to be a pretty large market, particularly with the release of I-III and now with VII, but never looked at getting into the hobby. That changes today. I'm going to do a lot of digging, probably ask a lot of questions, and my hope is that this community will be able to point me in the right direction.

I have two main objectives coming here. 1) I want to acquire a Graflex lightsaber. 2) I want to acquire and build my own custom lightsaber with all the trimmings, probably using saberparts.com whenever that thing decides to start working and selling. I'm not looking to get any of that answered here. Just throwing out my goals.

Anyway, thanks for listening and looking forward to all the fun stuff I get to learn by being here!

Welcome roguegeek!

You have come to the right place to learn all about custom Sabers! This forum is full of equally saber-mad folk who will I'm sure help you out with any questions you will undoubtedly have.
May I direct you to the FAQ's and Forum Rules sections to begin your studies in case you haven't seen them yet. They will answer a lot of questions you may have already (not to mention some you may not have thought about!) and will help you get the best out of this great site.
The ASP system on Saberparts.com I believe should very soon be up and running to everyone and your wish to have a Graflex may also be closer than you think!

I wish you well on your Saber journey here and look forward to hearing how you get on in future posts,

For Tyeth

Hey guy!

My name is Jakub, I am from Poland, Warsaw.

I'm in love with Star Wars since I can remember, in age of 10 I was very into LEGO. 2-3 years after I kinda stopped my SW fandom, but it came back with a huge blast.
This year (2015 is still my year :P) I wanted to cosplay a bit for TFA premiere, but my budget didnt allow it. I wish I could make lightsabers or anything by my own hands but I dont know how, dont know any person here who could teach me, etc. I hope you know what I mean, But I found (with help of cosplayers) a person here in Poland who makes lightsaber individually, so it's unique project. In my research I found this site and I'm in love with your lightsabers ^^ especially with idea that double lightsaber I can make it two single lightsabers, which I cant do that with my Polish saber-maker, so I'm confused where to buy :P :P
Also, this year I started to read books and comics in theme of SW.

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the site, Jakub! I don't have any SF products yet to offer a review, but there are tons of them on the web. You probably couldn't find a better, more widespread reputation for quality, and SF is putting out new stuff regularly.

Witaj Jakub!

I'm sorry I can't remember much more Polish than that, but I visited your country 20 years ago and loved it!
(I visited Gdansk,Gdynia and Sopot!)

Indeed welcome to the forum and as you have found there are some very helpful people here, who can give you advice and information so you can make your decisions. There aren't many options for Europeans to buy a quality Lightsaber in our countries to be honest.
I have received a Saberforge Lightsaber and am very happy with it, (It is in the Review Section for the Disciple sabers if you want to see it)

Hopefully you will be able to make a decision on which saber to get and let us know about it!

Welcome to all who have come since last I had a chance to check this thread! For Tyeth has already given you the basics. Let me just add:

1. We are a friendly lot, so go forth with no fear.
2. Some amongst us are VERY knowledgeable about all things saber related, and others are more collectors, but between the lot of us, there is almost always someone who can help out with questions, or concerns. Just make sure to run through the FAQ to be sure that your question cannot be self-answered there first.
3. We ALL love sabers, and Star Wars!
4. You will enjoy your time here, because of all the above listed items!

So, dive in, start or participate in a conversation, and prove me right on all of this!
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Hi guys so im new to this forum writing thing but ill get straight to it so ive been searching the internet far and wide for the best quality, detail and duelling lightsabers I could find and by far saberforge is for me the top so im currently looking to get myself the redeemer saber as im a huge Kenobi fan. so for me being from the uk and everything being in $ and not in £ its taken me a lot of back a forth money calculating to see how much its going to cost me now I came to a decision in which to buy this saber until I got disheartened about one thing the layout in which the site is in makes you see and think that the elite redeemer in champion tier is $205 or £140 which for me is affordable and nice but its not till you click onto the product you find its the price which you thought was for the hero tier now don't get me wrong ill most likely still buy it due to me not finding a saber so damn perfect its just upsetting to think im now going to have to wait longer than expected see what you think ive taken a screenshot of the site not for hate purposes cause I will buy the product but to help saberforge in the future for not giving of the wrong impression it just need a minor tweek on the website is all, thanks very much for reading I hope this some what helped and you will sure be seeing me making a purchase in the up and coming weeks thanks p.s please don't ban me from buying or anything due to ive seen loads of youtubers saying they made complaints and got banned from the company I hope this doesn't happen to me as im not pointing out a fault on a product just a bit of minor tweeking need on the website is all thanks again
