Wow! They're finally here, and boy are they awesome! The color isn't what I expected, but I got quick connects, so I can get a different color later should I choose. As for quick connects, I will be making a video about them in the coming days.
So now, on to the pics! This saber is wicked awesome and very bright! My first saber also!

Very nice, these look great as a staff and the colour's really nice! Quick disconnects are always a good idea though!

The color is okay, however it is a bit too pink for my taste. I would have preffered a darker/deeper purple. But it is a nice color! Also, I'll be uploading and posting a video review/unbox, you guys should see it tomorrow!

The purple is a very Mace Windu Purple. the eye the blades themselves look pink but the cast it casts on wall is purple.
I think you are probably looking for more the Ultrasabers color Dark Violet Amethyst which is more blue than red diode, which tends to lean more dark side than the Mace Windu vibrant purple more red than blue diode. |

That is very nice!! was just thinking of the same staff myself but w red leds, curious though- do the hilts not line up the same when put together? in the pix it looks off center of each other? just curious, but really is nice!.

No they don't line up, which is one of the few pet peeves I have with the coupler. |

Hmm…well with the way they perfectly machine every other detail of their hilts, couplers that don't align perfectly is something SF should look into fixing, in my opinion. I'm OCD and that would drive me crazy. I'll shoot Phil an email about it.

@ Griffon and anyone else curious about how quick disconnects work:
Loosen the LED module retention screw using the included allen wrench. This screw should be below your blade retention screw at the emitter. Once the LED module is loosened, it will slide up through the emitter, allowing you to unclip the quick disconnect clasps, remove the LED module, and clip in another LED module that has also been equipped with quick disconnect clasps. Then slide the new LED module into the hilt, align the module with the retention screw, and retighten the screw. I would upload a video demonstrating this, but none of my sabers have quick disconnects Also, for now Phil suggested using shims to get the couplers to line up. But I think he's working on some new coupler ideas for future releases

@ DarthMario has Phil seen the couplers used on the MR Maul sabers? If I remember correctly, its two separate pieces connected by a large screw and bolt. You loosen it so both ends can rotate, screw both sabers on, line them up, then hold the coupler still while taking 1 saber off, tighten the bolt and put the saber back on.

So I messaged Phil, and this was his response:
Sorry there isn't anything you can do about that, every manufacturer that sells a thread on coupler will have the same hit or miss timing, ultra, tcss, vv, gcs.
It seems like couplers are an industry issue. Hopefully saberforge can play the revolutionary. |
