Just got an emailed update:
ASP PROGRESS REPORT AND SPECIAL REWARDS FOR PRE ORDERS
Our shop is currently completing 300 ASP Pre Order sabers per week, our customs shop is averaging 1 legacy saber per day, and our numbers are rising. We are more than 2/3rds completed with our Kickstarter pre order builds, and we will be starting on Indiogogo pre orders this month. We are planning to have all of our Pre Orders shipped by the end of April and will be launching ASP to the general public as soon as they are completed. As a special thanks to all of the Pre Order backers who made this dream possible we will be sending you a coupon code for the new ASP website when it launches. This is our way of saying thank you for your patience and support that allowed us to create the worlds largest and most dynamic custom saber system. Thank you all and may the Forge be with you! |

Thank for the update Kouri! I really hadn't heard anything since early February. Looks like I am in the last 1/3rd of the kickstarter builds but I have new excitement knowing it should be done in the next 3 weeks!

Got the same update a couple of hours ago and i am very excited. This is good to hear. I wasn't expecting mu asp saber this soon. Going to use that coupon to get the sound board I didn't get plus possibly another asp saber.

It's a slightly weird update
 don't get me wrong, it's awesome to hear something but the maths don't add up do they?There's still several hundred KS pledges to be built, then probably at least 1000 IGG? So probably mid to late may for public ASP? Which is still cool. If love to be proven wrong though |

Very good to know! I personally don't know if I'm even still interested in purchasing an ASP saber (my Eddlyss designs no longer appeal to me as much, for some reason), but the near completion of ASP preorders means that SF is on top of their game. That implies that we'll be getting shorter lead times and many other new benefits very soon!

This is awesome, I saved a copy of the spread sheet of indiegogo preorders and I'm glad I backed so early. I'm within the first 60. 53rd to be exact. Oh yes, I can't wait!

mind you as seen with kickstarter "when" you ordered doesn't necessarily mean you get it first, the kick starter from what I've been reading was "what" you ordered |

I'm confused. Does this mean that all preorders, including Kickstarter and Indiegogo preorders will be completed by the end of this month? Or only Kickstarter? Also, does that mean that 300 KICKSTARTER preorder sabers are being built a week or KICKSTARTER and INDIEGOGO sabers are being built a week?

Indiegogo was handled differently than KS, who's to say they'll accomplish orders differently too? As long as they try to keep their goal of finishing things up this month, we'll all soon be able to enjoy ASP. So let's hope for the best

I think it's 300 total, with that number still increasing, and they're waiting to start on the IGG orders until they're done (or nearly done) with the KS orders; and I think they meant they expect to complete both the KS and IGG orders by the end of the month.That's just my impression though. |

Yeah, the math is a bit unusual, but it sounds like they are hitting their stride. They started in mid February and it's taken about 7 weeks to get 2/3rds of the KS done. But I agree with sliverlightpony. How I read it, it looks like they are speeding up and hoping to have the last 1/3rd of KS and all of IGG done in 3-4 weeks.
It still may be a lofty goal but it's great news either way. |

There has been a delay in literally every update they've ever provided. With that being said, hamper your expectations. It's good that they're keeping IGG up-to-date, but it's not etched in stone. Us KS supporters have heard half a dozen different shipment fulfillment dates, so I guess I know not to take it too serious.
I'm certainly hoping that you IGG backers don't have to go through everything that us KS backers have had to so far! Hell, we haven't even gotten that e-mail yet haha. I am excited for my saber, the delays aren't too much of a concern for me anymore, but I was left quite disappointed in the beginning. Just hoping others don't get let down too! |
