Hello!

So Steam had this big sale two weeks ago and I picked up Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. As I was playing through it I remembered the days when I was a kid playing all sorts of Star Wars video games. Star Wars Rouge Squadron, KotOR I and II, Jedi Knight Academy and Outcast, all three Battlefronts, Republic Commando, etc. What was your favorite Star Wars game(s) growing up, and ones you still play today?

I'll go older than those. X-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs. Tie, X-Wing Alliance. Played them all, and starting with XvT, when multi-player entered the scene, I played with friends in what used to be called "LAN parties" where we would all bring our systems to a designated house, spend hours setting up, and connecting our systems via ethernet switch, then play until our eyeballs melted! Of course, that same group played Doom, and Quake before that. We also did the same with the Jedi Knight series, and Outlaws.

Good times.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow....

Oh man, I remember when I got my (now sadly unused) PSP and it came with Star Wars Battlefront II. I put so, so much time into that game. I'm sure it had mutliplayer but I don't think it was something I ever invested in back then.

Now a days I've been investing my time into SWToR. Couldn't help but reload the game as soon as I saw TFA. I had originally started when the game first launched and still get all the founding mail everytime I make a new character. I haven't played quite as much in the last few weeks, but I do open it up at least every couple days and put a few hours into it!

Hi all,

I'll go further back, I had a copy of the coin-op Star Wars game on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. It had the trench run where you had to dodge the girders and laser turrets. All in glorious 3D Wire Frame glory! I progressed onto ROTJ where the Speeder bike chase through Endor's forest was a high light. Now I fly the Millennium Falcon and ETA-2's around in MS Flight Simulator.

There's so many. Dark forces 2: Jedi knight. Excellent game, terrible acting. Jedi outcast was pretty good too. Though my all time favourite just for epicness is kotor, wow what a game. Fav moment is the flashback of 3 or 4 Jedi on Revan's bridge squaring up to him as he swirls his saber ready for the show down. Really epic. Still play kotor on iPad!

First game I downloaded when I got my most recent phone in November (and just reached the level cap of 70). Really like it (especially after the most recent big update), and for a Free to Play game it handles in app purchases and "energy" really well. There's only a couple of things you can buy for real money (none of which are needed to excel in the game and can be earned with regular play), and there are enough different "tables" (or game modes) with only a few of them requiring "energy" that you won't have to wait for anything unless you are playing for hours at a time.

As for my "nostalgia" games, my favorite was Jedi Academy; I knew that game backwards and forewords (and still kind of do since around last year I picked up the newer enhanced version that was released for Mac).
I also spent many hours with the N64 version of Rogue Squadron (I knew all the unlock codes so I could play as the Falcon, a Tie Interceptor, a Naboo Starfighter and even a 60's Buick!), and the first Podracing game (which to this day is still my favorite racing game) where my go-to pilot was "Bullseye" Navior.

Currently I'm playing the 2015 Battlefront (mostly the Fighter Squadron mode).

WOW YOU KNEW THE CODES

I still have the N64 and am still trying to figure them out.

Oddly enough I recently purchased the Jedi Knight package they had going on a month ago. This included Dark Forces 1, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight (Had to modify a few things to make it work with new hardware in Windows 10, but it's running!), Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.

Spent quite a few hours in Jedi Knight, Outcast and Academy now, though the JK one doesn't show it as I don't have steam open when I run it due to the modifications. Still a fun game after all of these years!

What platform are you on, Jaden? I'm on PS4 if you need a wingman.

I enjoy my xbox on ps4 pretty equally. I played the Battlefront trial/beta on X1, but ended up buying for PS since that's what my mates were getting it for.
