I have purchased sabers from SF but haven't received this email, yet. To be honest, I'm not too sure. All I know is I created an account and ordered my saber on 12/30/15. Still haven't recieved it because of the former thin neck part shortage. I assume the reason I got the email was because of my account. Not positive though. |

I'll probably end up ordering something to enter, but I'll still wait until closer to the end date to see if anything else gets added to the site. Or at the very least I'll do the letter option.
And if anybody is ordering something to enter, make sure to wait until the 10th! |

Hmm, and I've been pulling a lot of overtime recently, for my wedding and possibly family hols to Egypt.
A destination I wasn't completely sold on from the get-go for various reasons. So after some reconsidering we've decided it'll just be the two of us somewhere closer to home. Which means I may have some funds.. Better Wedding photographer / New saber? Better Wedding photographer / New saber? Better Wedding photographer / New saber? Oh dear.. |

I'm simultaneously thinking "Yaaay maybe I should get an Initate Exhalted" and "Nooo more lead time now and this doesn't seem like the best time to buy a lightsaber (for my own reasons)"
So I have mixed feelings. |

why they do this? I believe they have not complete all previous orders yet. It does increase a lot workload somehow.

Since there is no purchase necessary to enter, it might not create as much new business as one might anticipate. That is if folks read the actual rules.

Hi Brax,
With respect may I ask where to see a copy of the OFFICIAL RULES as the email that has been posted states to win you need to place an order over $100 between the dates given to be entered. I don't think Saberforge would open a Giveaway, allow a person to place an order, win a $1000 custom saber.....then that person cancelling their order when they have the prize! Surely you place an order then have to honour that order to qualify. I haven't received a copy of the e-mail and I have checked my Spam filter and trash can. Maybe because I ordered through ETSY I didn't get one? kind regards, For Tyeth |

There was a screenshot posted in the thread yesterday. I believe it was of an e-mail that they received announcing the contest. To be perfectly honest, I have not received that e-mail, and there is nothing on the SF Facebook feed, nor the SF main website about it.

Hi again,
Thank you for the response. I have seen the post containing the email and the email states you need to place an order over $100 between the specified dates to be entered. I have also looked on the main website and on the Facebook page to make certain and found no mention of a Giveaway taking place. Facebook reads as follows, "Sneak peek at Vanquish", a possible appearance by Yoda in Ep.VIII, an article about Kylo Ren then an announcement about the Katano. Maybe it is mentioned on a members only page but I am not on FB so can't tell. Thanks for your help. For Tyeth Here is the email and I highlighted the part stating about placing an order: |

Before this snowballs into something bigger, I would just like to express that I was asking whether or not an order had to be made and the purchase completed to qualify, as Brax said QUOTE: "Since there is no purchase necessary to enter, it might not create as much new business as one might anticipate. That is if folks read the actual rules. " I did not mean to imply the emails or Giveaway were fake. I hope that clears things. I hoped maybe I could enter if I didn't have to buy anything.(Just bought my Saber last year and haven't got enough cash to order another  )kind regards, For Tyeth |

It's kinda weird how only some members received the email, that it is not stated at the SF website, that it is not stated here at the forum, nor Facebook.
