I don't know if suggestions are allowed, but here's one anyway

Now, I'm a child of the 80's, and there are many cool kids' shows that I remember from back then, but I was just reminded of one in particular whilst idly browsing YouTube: Ulysses 31. I'm sure there must be a few members on here old enough (sorry

) to remember the show, and how Ulysses sported a rather interesting weapon, his laser-pistol-light-sword thingy.

(not my design, but it's the clearest reference I could find)

Considering that there may be a flat saber blade in development for a future Darksaber, it would also suit this design perfectly. It could also function as a pistol with the trigger setting off a secondary LED in the muzzle (in the same way that a clash-flash can be triggered on the Hero sabers). Call it a daft idea if you like, but I'm having a burst of nostalgia

. I just thought it might be interesting to see other interpretations of the lightsaber from other universes than just Star Wars.

Anyway, good idea or wishful thinking?
