Gentlebeings,
This is the last of my collection that I plan to list for the foreseeable future. It's an absolute classic: Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from the Empire Strikes Back! Given that this is one of the most iconic weapons of all time, I don't need to go into detail describing it, although it is in superb condition (with only the lightest surface scuffing). Instead, enjoy some pics!
It's a very solid-feeling hit with a nice amount of heft to it. This is definitely not a beater, but it could definitely absorb some punishment, if needed.
Unlike Saber Forge's blades, this Parks Sabers blade is illuminated by an LED string that runs the length of the blade. The big advantage to this design is that the blade is uniformly bright throughout (no base-flare or dimming at the top). Bear in mind that it's s really not designed for dueling, though it's fairly tough.
The blade is ignited by pressed on the activation card. A double-tap will make the blade strobe very quickly to give it more of a rotoscoped look. It's un/locked by un/screwing the bottom button/knob - very easy and very secure.
The batteries are encased in a copper housing within the butt of the hilt. After unclamping the two halves of the hint, simply unscrew the sheathing and the batteries (with their magnetic extenders) slide out.
Please note that there is no sound with this saber!
FYI, I have been informed that Parks Sabers no longer makes this model (apparently purchase orders generate a null autoreply - haven't tried it). This model has now become quite rare.
Here's what you get (all as pictured below):
The hilt (including the battery housing and the magnetic battery extenders)
The blade
Two sets of Tenergy rechargable batteries (for those long LARPing sessions)
A recharging set for the batteries
I'm selling this classic saber for
$290 $245plus Paypal fees and S/H (figure about $25 in the states). At this price, you're getting the batteries and the charger for free as well as a discount on the saber itself!
I've had great experiences selling two other sabers on the forum; feel free to check out my feedback.
As some of you know, I really am a rabbi and this is the busiest time of year for me! I'll be checking messages and will honor purchase requests in the order received.
Cheers,
--Josh
