TOPIC: New Member Introduction Thread

Greetings all!

I am Gary, probably better known as Count Arkanus. I'm a Martial Artist and Saber enthusiast who has loved Star Wars ever since I was a child; which is quite "a long time ago...." for me.

I have been formally training with a lightsaber, and involved in the sabering community for around 16 months now though. (since May 2013). I'm an LX Apprentice with TPLA and member of several cosplay groups, such as TDA, TDE and the Galactic Knights (here in the UK)

Oh, and yes, I'm from the UK....Doncaster, in the North of England, to be exact. I would LOVE to find some local victims....I mean,.....sparring partners here, but they seem a little thin on the ground in these parts.

Kresnik here, long time Star Wars fan and I just recently (1.5 years) started getting into the prop and LED lightsaber enthusiasm. I eventually plan on setting up a Sentinel Cosplay - with my brand new Gladius 12 Watt in Yellow (it is so nice I just cannot stop touching it)

My heart is in Photography/ Production and writing but my career since high school has been in Law Enforcement and Private Security.

I prefer flow dueling, free form, spinning and choreography.

I see sabering as a childhood fantasy being lived out and with the added benefit of exercise and a good way to blow off some steam and anger.

I currently live in the Armpit of Southern California but I work in San Diego County, California.

I like to surf, hike, target and competitive shooting, archery, airsoft, I play video games (FPS, MMOs) I love photography, Star Wars, Sci Fi in general, Horror and so on.

I currently own 4 ultrasabers ( Aeon, Guardian, Bellicose, DSI) but my crown jewel is my newly acquired Saberforge Gladius Warrior in 12 watt yellow, dark weathering and brown wrap. I love this damn thing, it is basically what I envisioned for my character (Kresnik) that I have been writing for years and it is the definition of the feel and look that I was looking for.

Hello there! My name is Shameem Moshrefzadeh. I go by DarthMario95 on various forums online. I've been a Star Wars fan my entire life, but I only got into the saber community around March 2014, when I was looking for a replica of the RotS Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber, my favorite hilt design from the movies. I discovered SaberForge and their Redeemer design, and I've been a loyal SaberForge customer ever since.

I've converted several MR and Hasbro lightsabers using SaberForge LED units, and while I'm still relatively new to the saber scene, I have definitely learned a lot in a short period of time and I very much look forward to learning more from you and sharing in our mutual love for Star Wars and lightsabers

I'm working in a lab as a researcher now but i enjoy sports and reading as well. I have been practicing kendo for 12 years now but i still consider myself a newbie.
I am looking forward to purchase my first saber from SF!

I'm just an oddball who is probably one of the most Star Wars obsessed freaks anybody has ever come across. Star Wars is pretty much my life and blood, and I don't think I could live without it! And of course, one of the most amazing things about the fandom is the amount of work going into making props of our favorite technology from it. What I'd give to have a real lightsaber, though!

I stumbled on Saberforge because of a friend of mine. I've always been looking into getting a working lightsaber that I could spar with as well as display in a few costumes that I'd love to put together one day. I really look forward to seeing what this company has to put out for the customers. Maybe I'll even buy one or two! I've been watching the Facebook page almost religiously now, haha~

On a side note, yes, I am a furry. But, don't worry, I'm very nice and not super-duper weird, I promise.

My name is Chris. I've been a fan elegant weapons from more civilized age ever since Luke switched his father's lightsaber on in 1977. If they've made one over the years, I've probably owned it. Yes, even that first attempt from Kenner with the flimsy yellow balloon that sat atop the plastic flashlight. Had I the budget to own everything Saberforge makes I would! Looking forward to all keeping up with all things lightsaber here on the forum!

I think it goes without saying that, like everyone here, I'm a huge fan of Star Wars and will never stop loving the franchise, from its greatest achievements to its most painful flaws. Despite being such a fan, a lack of consistent income has kept me from getting as much merchandise as I would like. That being said, the only lightsaber I own is your common, toy aisle Mace Windu saber, but I would someday like to own one of Saberforge's masterpieces. Especially since my fullest dream would be to create a complete, original Star Wars cosplay some day. I hope to make lots of friends and learn lots more about this fandom I've come to love so very much.

Hello everybody! The name's Cynfos Aaran from an hour outside of Washington, DC.

I'm still somewhat new to the saber world, I've been a bit of a lurker since February when I was added to the Saber Selfies group. But now I'm currently waiting for my first saber to come in, a 12W Red Warrior Venom, and soon I will purchasing a champion Exhalted.

I come from a HEMA background, so I like to play with blunt steel, but poly-carbonate sounds just as fun.

Can't wait to see all of our on and off topic rambles.
