There have been a HUGE number of USPS failures this year. Probably at the top of the list would be the 100 or so orders that are simply missing completely. They went out on a truck and sometimes show up weeks later, sometimes with tracking updates, oftentimes without.

For example we just had a fair number of sabers shipped on Nov 8th that were given to the USPS weeks ago and just show as "accepted" on the 15th.

It used to be that the USPS and indeed our order volume was much smaller, and easily trackable. We had origin scans being performed and we're able to pinpoint when packages were leaving. Just since November our volume went from 50-60 sabers per day to about 175. The post office here does not seem up to the task of handling this increase in volume.

As such, we are currently in the process of two major changes: implementing a scan system for in-facility order tracking and transitioning to FedEx. In the coming few weeks missing and horrifically delayed shipments will become a thing of the past.

An equally important note is that we have been spending excessive amounts of time speaking with the USPS and been told so many times "sorry we don't have it" when we know, beyond any doubt, that these orders have been shipped. In the past few weeks our logging has come a long way and we know when orders are leaving, and they're not being scanned. Because of this we are currently launching a police investigation in to the local office and have been reporting a bunch of orders stolen. Those affected recieve refunds with rush replacement options. It's not ideal, but we are working on it and taking steps.

Interesting, well guess what?

Today I received my SF sabers that I ordered via Mr Justin P. because one of the sabers required customization. These are my first sabers from SF that I received (though not the first sabers I ordered as those are still in production). This order has three sabers (customized phoenix, epoch and archon). It came to my door completely as a surprise because I did not receive a shipped notification. Now, I am not sure if this was deliberate (i.e. a goodwill pleasant surprise) or someone at SF forgot to do something on the notification or USPS did not do something. I thought I should share this with you.

But either way, I am a happy dude! It turned out to be a good surprised after all!

Will do my youtube review and post here later. Thank you!

Edit: I am assuming my first order is still in production. Maybe I should ask?

Regard FedEx, I have used them on many occasions and I would say their service is the best out of all I have experienced. Their priority international service (comes with an extra premium) is by far the fastest I have ever experienced, within two or three days from one corner of the planet to the other end.

wow.
From the convos with the Etsy side of things, I'm guessing my saber's in there somewhere. It's upsetting news but hugely helpful, as I've felt in limbo over this for months.
Having this going on while SF should be enjoying such growth must be a huge disappointment, given the efforts involved by you all.
If need be, I hope justice runs it course and wish a speedy resolution to all this.
Not only for me but everyone affected.

And whats about the from "shipping" back to "confirmed" and "not answering e-mails" problem? :(

Thank goodness. All of these problems that people have been having with USPS makes me exceedingly nervous about ordering a saber until the shipping company is changed. My paranoia may be caused by my PC parts order (which I'm currently waiting on), but I'll definitely be buying my first saber early next year if FedEx starts doing the shipping.
