Thanks for that news on the USPS issue Knytiri, and thanks for the rapid response by SF.

Good news for me, my sabers came !!! Best of luck to those still waiting.

Reviews incoming after the holidays. For now I'm gonna go run around my back yard like a kid with----well a pair of lightsabers !!! ;)

While I'm sad to hear about the USPS issues, im happy to hear you are making strides towards resolving them on future orders.

This massive growth and increased shipping comes at the worst possible time for any shipping company. Most of them have to bring in a lot of temp employees to handle the increased holiday demand which only gets worse every year. New temps mean lots of delays and errors you wouldent normally see.

The internal tracking system sounds like a great idea. Has any thought been given to adding a customer portal to view a more informitave order status? I had the pleasure on working on somthing like this for an online book printing botique a couple years back and it was loved by the customer service team as it reduced the number of complaints and made the ones who never stop complaining and demanding updates easier to deal with.

Our system assigned batch numbers to groups of orders in queue and gave the current batch number being worked on
for exampleas a customer I'm in batch 308 and batch 256 is currently in prep. Batch 255 is in the printing press. Batch 254 and 253 are in cutting and binding. Batch 252 to 234 are packed and waiting for pickup.
And each section of work had a little blurb of what goes on in that step with a pic of the machines used.

Customers liked seeing that stuff was moving through and getting closer to their batch number and internally we liked the batch numbers instead of specific orders so we could better change the batch sizes to more accuratly portray the speed work was being done at. During slow points a batch could be 1 to 5 orders and during crunch as many as 40 or more.

I'm extremely pissed off right now. I just got an email saying they can not fulfill my order and they are giving me a refund. It has been 10 weeks! Originally it said it would be 4-5 weeks and when they upped that I was pretty mad. Now they are completely canceling my order. I waited 10 weeks for nothing. I bought extras after the original order that are useless now. And yes I get that they are super busy and they are going through changes, but canceling a customers order after waiting 10 weeks. Really? And the really crappy thing is I really like saberforge and their products. But this is ridiculous.

I totally understand that you are upset but before you vent that at SaberForge directly you may want to have them clarify whether the issue was that your saber was one of the ones which they delivered to the USPS for delivery which were stolen or otherwise disappeared. Knytiri posted earlier in this thread that they had an issue with this and it sounds like what is happening to you is what they said the resolution would be. I believe he also stated that those whose sabers had been lost by USPS would be eligible for an expedited replacement so check with them before you get too upset.

That said, I totally feel for you and I hate seeing anyone have to deal with what appears to be a really bad situation.
